ROM Hack RELEASE Resident Evil: 4 Switch Save Converter

I had a lot of progress in the PC version of RE:4 HD and I didn't want to beat the game for the thousandth time so I wanted to write a way to convert a save from the other RE:4 HD platforms to Switch. Directly importing the save from PC caused the game to just load into a black screen so I assumed the controls were the issue (I was right!) and I wrote this script to help others in the same boat.

The Switch version of the game handles unlocks based on achievements built into the game, when I figure out where these are stored I'll add it to the script so extras works.

So if I did a costume swap save hack, would this function on the switch version? Essentially I really want a save that lets me play with Leon's jacket for the whole game, and play as "spy ada" from assignment ada for the entirety of Separate Ways.

Someone make this but for Wii version of the game.. so i cant transfer over my save :v

It should work but I'm working on getting a save that has all the extras unlocked, achievements are a unique thing to the switch version.

I have my save and it works fine but again the extras issue, after this playthrough it should be good though.

Yeah that makes sense, if you did a costume hack save, you would want to have everything unlocked because the only way to keep using it would be to load saves within that single playthrough. The game would reset their costumes once you beat it, which means you could never make progress on that save without further hacking it.

I already tried to copy the save from pc to switch directly using checkpoint, but the game says that its corrupted. Any solution?
