..ive followed the video until the end, am i done ? :), theres a trinity icon and a vitashell icon on my psvita now, oh and also i checked in settings>system information in my system and it is showing 3.70 ## , i.e after 3.70 there are two chinese letters? but on the video it was only showing 3.70 without any chinese letters...am i fine? and is there something wrong...?

if am ok to move on then, so this system as i understand is not a permanent system? and i need to downgrade to 3.60, as you mentioned earlier..

"edit also make sure you follow modoru guide to downgrade to 3.60

then follow: https://vita.hacks.guide/installing-henkaku"

if theres a video guide also for this you recommend, can you send? its waaaaay easier and accurate to follow a video demonstration than following written instructions. thankyou :)

the chinese/japanese icons relate to the fact the device is now hacked so you are good so far....

yes this is a temp hack and you want to downgrade to 3.60 right away

tech james vids are pretty decent if you are struggling following webpage guides... just youtube search "tech james modoru", whilst following the guide I gave you:

https://github.com/TheOfficialFloW/modoru

then https://vita.hacks.guide/installing-henkaku

that part is real easy, you really don't need an video for that, but pretty sure tech james has a vid if you are stuck

make sure you complete the finalizing section - install the plugins you need so you don't get more problems

ALL DONE :yaypsp:, just completed until the end of finalising setup, (took alot of my mind focus, and effort though..) anyway , am good to GO.. :D, thankyou so much Vinceherman for helping through the process.

The system now is showing as: 3.60 ## - 11 (# chinese letter). On the ps vita screen i have a Vitashell icon and a vita Homebrew Browser and ive also followed a video to install Adrenaline for psp related stuff.

ive been checking about the system and just got few quick questions:

1) can i use the system as normal (online, wifi, ps store etc) and Is there anything i need to avoid doing?

2) in settings> Henkaku settings, do i need to keep the "Enable Unsafe Homebrew" ticked? or should i uncheck it now? is there any other settings i need to change or keep?

3) the uxo file and uro files etc only appear on my computer when i connect ps vita with the FTP thing (filezilla client app), if i plug the vita via USB, then these files dont show up even when i tick on the show hidden items? meaning am forced to use the filezilla app to move about files in the uxo (memory card), is that normal?

4) i installed a vpk ps vita game i own ;) from the web, i put that file in uxo which is meant to be the memory card, (the uro is the internal memory) and i installed it, am wondering where did the game save in? in which folder? and if i delete the game from the ps vita screen, does the game and all its related files get deleted?

5) some games are as NoNpDrm folders, where do i put this folder in my system to play this? or do i need to install something to play these?

6) in the psp Adrenaline there is the music, video, photo etc options as you know in a psp, are there just there for the sake of it or can i actually use these features and access their folders and actually put music/video and play them? just like in an actual psp? if so, how? and which/where are the folders to it?

7) curently i cant put anything on my system because i have very limited space (4gb card). Do you recommend me to buy the ps vita memory cards or the sd2vita Adapter? what size is best? what memory card size or adapter you use? is there any good trusted uk sellers you recommend for the adapter?

8) if i get another memory card, is there anything i need to reinstall on the system/card? like the vitashell, or can i use it straight away as normal?

9) is there any good homebrews, app you recommend?

10) is there any good music, video, mp3 player you know or recommend?

Any other advice and help will be really appreciated :)

haha, so many questions.......nice to hear you made it through the guides successfully!

1) can i use the system as normal (online, wifi, ps store etc) and Is there anything i need to avoid doing?

you should be fine to play online, just make sure you enable spoofing to 3.71 in henkaku settings

2) in settings> Henkaku settings, do i need to keep the "Enable Unsafe Homebrew" ticked? or should i uncheck it now? is there any other settings i need to change or keep?

keep it enabled, no reason to disable it

3) the uxo file and uro files etc only appear on my computer when i connect ps vita with the FTP thing (filezilla client app), if i plug the vita via USB, then these files dont show up even when i tick on the show hidden items? meaning am forced to use the filezilla app to move about files in the uxo (memory card), is that normal?

USB will only connect to the ux0, in order to access the other partitions/drives you need to FTP

You can press start in vitashell to toggle which memory card device is activated on USB - useful when you get SD2Vita or PSVSD.

If you installed by running/opening the vpk file in vitashell? If so it should automatically place an icon in the live area for you.

5) some games are as NoNpDrm folders, where do i put this folder in my system to play this? or do i need to install something to play these?

any nonpdrm games you get need to go into the ux0/app folder via vitashell. then In vitashell if you press triangle you can refresh the live area and the games should then appear in the livearea

6) in the psp Adrenaline there is the music, video, photo etc options as you know in a psp, are there just there for the sake of it or can i actually use these features and access their folders and actually put music/video and play them? just like in an actual psp? if so, how? and which/where are the folders to it?

yes they should work fine, although I have read of peeps getting issues playing videos, i never bother with it myself so not really sure on that i'm afraid, in ux0 there is a folder called PSPemu, PS1 games go into the PSP/GAME folder within that folder, you will need to create a folder called ISO in ux0/PSPemu/ and place your PSP games in there. If you want you can get 'adrenaline bubble manager' which will place game icons to be on the live area for you.

7) curently I cant put anything on my system because i have very limited space (4gb card). Do you recommend me to buy the ps vita memory cards or the sd2vita Adapter? what size is best? what memory card size or adapter you use? is there any good trusted uk sellers you recommend for the adapter?

best option is SD2Vita (search ebay for one, the white version is the most recent version)

you will need a micro SD, I would reccommend this one myself:

https://www.mymemory.co.uk/mymemory-256gb-v30-pro-micro-sd-sdxc-a1-uhs-1-u3-adapter-100mb-s.html

8) if i get another memory card, is there anything i need to reinstall on the system/card? like the vitashell, or can i use it straight away as normal?

best following this thread, just be aware if you use a 256gb card it requires formatting 64kb cluster size, rather than the default cluster size.

9) is there any good homebrews, app you recommend?

Vitahomebrewbrowser, Custom Themes Manager, Autoplugin (be careful using Autoplugin - only activate stuff you know you need), PKGJ

10) is there any good music, video, mp3 player you know or recommend?

I don't use Vita for that myself can't really comment sorry

Any other advice and help will be really appreciated

Personal reccomendation would be to go buy GTA Vice City Stories and Liberty City Stories PSP games, then follow this:

http://wololo.net/2019/03/16/psvita...-native-resolution-960x544-on-your-vita-pstv/

most fun I have had on my PS vita this year; improved resolution with dual analog sticks for the win!

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
