You can maybe try buying a inexpensive arctic usb fan and plug it into the dock usb port cooling at least the top of the switch. I always use mine when I played docked

those thing are just a gimic there no better than those $20 fans that turn back and forth. and been tested to have little effect.

I would replace the thermal paste with good quality

You might also consider using a different dock instead of the original. The Nintendo dock really packs up the heat. This is the one I use, and absolutely no issues with heat. This is a shell with nothing inside. You disassemble your original dock, and re-install the board inside the replacement dock. This one in particular lets you use the spring plate and the LED, an advantage compared to other models. I use a small USB fan to blow air in the back vents in really hot days (30c and up).

I also use this one because the default dock sucks. Not only does it packs up the heat but also scratches your switch front and back area.

there not if you get the good one proper artic breeze fan, I used it for my laptop also when my laptop fan would rev up, it would go down once I used the fan and it kept the most hottest area of my laptop cool even to the touch you can physically touch and feel the area going cold and my fan never revs up after i use the cooling fan

Something i would find interesting is temps with and without the copper foil on top of the SoC. From a first glace it looks useless and there is lots more of crap paste underneath.

It is useless, completely useless; adds another layer for no reason; I don't have it on mine.

Hmm, then I'm afraid I can't really help you as I use Atmosphère. You could try that or wait for someone with SX OS to chime in.
SX OS doesn't have any overclocking as far as I'm aware.
