Hardware Can sd2vita work like a regular ps vita memory card out of the box without any homebrew crap?

So, I just bought ps tv. I'm not interested in any homebrews, henkakus or whatever. I just wanna play persona 4 golden, and for that I need more than 4 gigs of storage. Will sd2vita work just like a regular vita memory card when I put it in formatted? I looked all over internet for answer and what I found was ONLY some homebrew related stuff and I got really confused.

No. You have to have a hacked console to use SD2VITA

I have one more question though, will legit bought games from ps store work on sd2vita?

Yes, but I wouldn’t recommend you playing your logging in go the store with a genuine account and a hacked vita. Search, PKGj instead

tbh i was only getting the vita for persona games but theres a lot of other good games too, the only reason why i got it is because of homebrew. i don't think a nonhacked vita is worth it nowadays

and honestly its not hard to set up sd2vita, i could help if you want me to, there is also a bunch of tutorials online as well, never follow video guides though

It would be nice if you cloud help, I'm completly new to this. I just got a pstv and I have no idea what to do to, memory cards are expensive af but I have sd2vita and a sd card, and I wanna play persona 4 golden ;-;

I forgot to add that I'm on a trip right now, so I'll have to wait 2 days to get back home and do this :c But thanks for the help, I'll report back when my ps tv will be (hopefully) alerady homebrewed

On PSTV you can also configure storage via the USB port. I use sd2vita on mine though, as my PSTV's USB port is permanently taken up by the PS3 controller charge cable.

You should have no problems installing Henkaku on a 3.60 PSTV from the linked guide.

Ok, I'm back home and... my firmware is actually 3.63, I dunno how I missed that don't ask me. Should I just follow the guide on vita hacks guide for 3.63?

I started to follow the instructions for 3.63 (read my previous message) and my ps tv isn't connecting with final he. What should I do?
Edit: nvm I followed the isntructions for ps vita instead of ps tv (no changes were made to my ps tv so far so no worries)
Edit 2: I'm on 3.65 now, vita hacks guide's telling me to do the final he thing again but it still doesn't connect

to be honest i never got finalhe to work. i used this, auto-h-encore https://github.com/noahc3/auto-h-encore/releases
its actually better and more descriptive in telling you what to do

I tried again but it still isn't working, I only see add device and endless loading mark on top left corner. Maybe it's because I can't sign in without being forced to update

I looked around the internet and github pages and It seems i need some update blocking dns but everything I tried didn't work. (Including the one from vita hacks guide)
