SOLVED:
"You do what?
All official firmware updates you can get from the hinted at source in the ChoidojourNX thread (first posting) include the exfat update ('MicroSDXC update'). ChoidojourNX then even allows you to choose if you want to install it on your console or not.
There is no reason you would need this update anymore though - I believe, because the switch should still accept microsdcards up to 512GB size (?) formatted to fat32 instead of exfat - which is recommended anyhow. (Save yourself - and the poor shmuck supporting you down the road - a whole lot of trouble with corrupt files using homebrew on exfat, by choosing fat32 to begin with.)
Hekate comes with its own exfat driver, so the nand backup files can always be saved on an exfat card, and restored from there regardless. (Use a seperate 32GB card for your nand backup, they are cheap.)"
So the MicroSDXC firmware update is SEPARATE from the official firmware updates. I get that.
So I can get firmwares online and update no problem using Choidojour.
But why can't I find THIS SPECIFIC update online for the MicroSDXC support to install like any other update on Choidojour?
TX Thread:
"These Firmware files have been extracted from dumps of game cartridge update partitions, or dumped from Nintendo Switch System Partitions."
Obviously the SDXC update would be on no game cartridge. But it has indeed been on anyone's cartridge that updated... So it should be on the Switch System Partitions, correct? So what gives with this update?
