My Gamecube games show up and they run just fine off of Nintendont directly but when I try to boot them up through USB Loader it takes me right back to the Wii home menu. Please Help!!

Have you gone into settings and set Nintendont as the gamecube loader and also set the path to it in settings also?

There is a setting for Gamecube loading method.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Select the game > Options > Game settings > Nintendont loader path.

Settings > Loader Settings > Gamecube mode : Nintendont

Also your drive MUST be formatted as FAT32 with 32kb clusters for it to work.

be sure you have an updated version of the loader, and not the full channel.
launch the loader, go to settings>credit, look at the version at the top.
current latest is 1271, you can find it in my signature.

The loader is now set to nintendont mode by default, as it's the most used method.
The default path is set to sd:/apps/nintendont/boot.dol

it doesn't work with ciso, nor exfat.
you need iso, and fat32, and games in proper folder.

you have to consider the app's requirement, and not expect the app to do it your way.
games/<title>/game.iso

<title> can be anything, but it's usually good practice to have the title and the TitleID6, for example :
games/zelda [GZLP01]/game.iso

read nintendont's first post to learn how to setup everything.

So I have the latest version but I'm running the gamecube games off of my SD. I know typically you run them through a USB but it worked fine off of my SD on my last modded Wii with no problems whatsoever. I don't know what's different between the two

there's no rule which says you have to run gamecube from USB, it works perfectly fine from SD too.
the loader is compatible with both, and has an option to let you choose the priority in case you have the same game on both devices.

That's strange that the loader see your games, but doesn't tell you there's a problem when trying to launch the game.
it's suppose to verify if all your setup is good (SD, usb, partition format, etc.)

I think the only thing it's not checking is whether the games are in correct format : ISO instead of ciso.
if it's a ciso and you renamed it to iso, it might not work.
verify the game is correctly placed where I told you : sd:/games/<title you want>/game.iso

verify it's game.iso, and not game.iso.iso nor "mario.iso"

It is really weird, last night it told me once or twice that it needed boot.dol but I took the SD card out and checked and sure enough I had it (I mean how else would nintendont boot up right?) and it won't even give me gamecube settings in the options. I really have no idea what to do

no gamecube settings?
it should give you the gamecube option if it's detected as gamecube game.
if you don't have the option, it might be detected as something else. (wii or channel)
like I said, please, re verify your path and filename ! don't just assume they are correct

also, if the loader tells you it's missing the boot.dol, maybe the path is not correct ?
sd:/apps/nintendont/boot.dol

I'm honestly just about to give up lol, I honestly don't know what to do, my paths and names are all correct, the games are in .iso format (like I said they work perfectly in Nintendont) and for like a minute last night it came up with the gamecube settings in options, but said auto null so I took out the SD card to mess with it, didn't end up changing anything, rebooted the wii, put it back in and when I went back to check it was gone just like the missing boot.dol message. I honestly don't know what I did wrong or how to fix it

Why insist on usbloadergx? Just use wiiflow.
It's perfect. It loads eveeything from SD and uses nintendont as well.

nintendont also work with ciso format, so it's not a good enough reason to assume it's in iso format.

but what's strange is that you have so much issues with the loader's UI.
saying "null" or not finding dol, or finding games but then can't boot the dol, that's very strange.
maybe the SD is having an issue, do you have another SD to test?

or an usb, just to see if the exact same setup but on a different device is fixing the problem.

I don't have another sd but I do have another usb, the problem is when I use it, USB Loader freezes at initializing USB device

if it's a HDD, set the loader's IOS to 58 !
settings > loader settings > loader's IOS : 58

I've posted about that in a lot of thread about hdd not initializing, every weeks.

if it's a flash drive, nothing you can do, flashdrives are just not good with Wii/WiiU.
