Misc Wiimfi Activation Issue...

Hey there, I'm pretty new here!
So my Wiimmfi works fine on my lovely modded wii, but my boyfriend has been having problems!
He has CTGP installed, which has Wiimmfi built into it. He got this 6 months ago ish.This worked fine, it activated after 7 days, everything was OK.
Fast forward to this week. He went to update his CTGP and found his jelly.bin was corrupt so he deleted it and all was good. It updated. Today he comes onto Wiimmfi to join me in my custom track adventures online, only to be presented with error 23899. Which means he needs to activate AGAIN.
I've no idea what's causing this, as when I had the jelly.bin issues when I deleted mine everything was totally fine, so I'm sure it isn't that. Yes he's totally up to date. I'm posting on his behalf because I have more knowledge of this stuff than he does...so please do tell, where are we going wrong?

    @The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
