Hey guys ive been following a few different posts but right now im stuck.
I bought a broken switch (was supposed to be just broken screen) so i can take motherboard out and replace with my mobo that is fried however upon booting it has a blue screen - a quick read led to kernel issue most likely from downgrading (burnt fuses 9).

I can boot with rcm to hekate but if memory card is inserted it wont boot. so cannot try to make backups etc.
tsec key (gives me a error)
print emmc info freezes at gpp 03, gpp 02 (is all F's)

i then tried to follow this guide https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...nofficially-without-burning-any-fuses.507461/ to reinstall the firmware 8.01 but i get stuck at using lockpick to get 8.0 keys (detects sept folder on microsd patches the files and reboots but wont boot to it) so i cannot patch the firmware to continue with the tutorial.

i still dont get why microsd work with other payloads but not hekate.

any help on what i should be doing would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully im going about the correct steps.

ok that is really weird
so you said that if memory card is present then it doesnt boot
so if you put card after you load the payload does that work?

Just to post an update, i built 6.0.1 firmware with choidujour, my plan is to manually update using this https://guide.sdsetup.com/usingcfw/manualchoiupgrade then boot to atmosphere and upgrade to 8.0.1 to match fuse count and disable autorcm

i already have my bisec keys from using biskeydump.bin

should i proceed with no backup? as im unable to use a sd card in hekate (p.s print sd card info finds the sd card after inserting it when its loaded but still crashed when i try to print fuse info etc)

imo 7.0.1 would be fine too cause they both have the same fuse count from what i heard
and i dont really have experience in restoring nands so i cant help really sry

i have the same blue screen

RCM is ok and most of paylod can run and use SD

hekate 2 to 3 run but no SD acces (can't load firmware)

hekate 4 ++black screen

hekate 4.10 run ,seen the SD card but hang when try to use it (can't load firmware)

i hope sdram is faulty (power, soldering, controller............)

hekate (or other) hang when triyng to use sdram : load more code, buffer for reading SD............

blue screen = kernel panic is only FF FF FF or OO OO OO in sdram

Blue screen - kernel mismatch. BOOT0/1 incorrect (if I remember correctly)

Partial failure of BQ24193 can cause similar symptoms. Have you ruled this out?

no shorts around the chip so looks good. i managed to start boot 0 backup via hekate (after inserting microsd while inside hekate - it detects it but still crashes when writing to micro sd)

showed me this before freezing boot 0 (0000000-0001fff)

im assuming nand corrupted (either via bad downgrade or whatever) so if i manually update to firmware i got the bis keys but no boot 0 or 1 backup would that work? Also i read that ChoiDujour Windows application doest support 6.20+ firmwares so if i understand correctly i must choose firmware less than 6.20 even though fuse (burnt 9) needs 7.0 with autorcm and then manually update via hombrew app to go to 7.0 fw

Shorts won`t necessarily show up.

Best thing to do, is boot into Hekate a few times (power completely off and on) and see how stable your battery readings are.

if you can't backup boot 0 with hekate
it' not a nand corrupted problem
sure it's a memory failure
sdram is KO but why???????
you can't load any alternative firmware or choidujour if you can't acces SD card

I can access SD card just not in Hekate. In Hekate it can detect SD card type and size but freezes when backing up. Memloader won't connect either gives a error 1 izma decrypt error.

Hopefully the NAND chip isn't faulty.
Perhaps try replacing the SD card reader. who knows it might be preventing data from being written/read.
if you've got another spare SD card try it if it works or not.

yea i tried that a bunch of times have three lol. they all work on my good switch but this one is no good. The sd is detected just fails pretty much when writing to it.
