I recently downloaded homebrew for nintendo wii and in the N64 emulator (Not64) Paper Mario 64 is working fine except for the shadow textures that are bugged and slow down the game.

I've looked in the compability list and it says that it should work fine with FB textures turned on but still no results. I've also tried both the Europe and the USA versions and changing other video settings.

I know that in PC you can change the graphic plugin to solve it but I don't know if it's possible on the Wii or how to do it. Is there any way of making it work? I think I'm doing something wrong because it's listed as compatible.

Yes, I was using Wii64 (which I think is the official one) but the game just kept freezing right when I got control of Mario.

But there's no way of making it work fine on emulator or I'm missing something? Because it's suposed to be compatible as far as I know.

I have searched about virtual console and .wad games but I'm a bit afraid of banner bricks. I already had BootMii, Priiloader and the Nand backup but anyway it would help me if you knew a trusted site to download the .wad files just in case.

Sorry, but I can´t recommend you a rom site. It´s against the forum rules.
Google Paper Mario wad file and you should find a legit file.
