That post is wrong. The issue is that the OP is using a CFW setup that doesn't support the type of XCI install that they did. Atmosphere with Sig Patches supports all. The issue is one of Kosmos, as it always is. It does not have full FS patching.

I love that other people help and encourage it. I just want people to post things that are correct.

If you have a problem with what people post, might as well get off temp, seem like you get pissed off easily, go ahead call yourself "Mr I know the answers to all your questions".

A better reply would have been 'I will try to post about things I am knowledgable about in the future'.

I am not perfect. I don't claim that I am. But the way you are operating creates more work for the people that actually know the answer to the OP's question as well as for the OP themselves. You could just opt to stop doing that, rather than getting nasty with me.

By all mean you can get off the forum if you gonna state everyone else answers is wrong.

You're being aggressively childish. I'm stating that your answers are wrong, as they are. It's not an issue of if they come from people other than me - the more the merrier - the issue is that the stuff you in particular have been posting is wrong. In this thread and in the other threads I've seen you in. I've helped out as I can, getting the OP into a working state, but sometimes you lead them down a path that leads to more work for me in order to fix them, and that is tiring. So I'm delicately asking you to stick to subject areas that you are knowledgable about.

A mature individual would not see that request as an attack.

More like you started the argument, going around stating this is wrong, that is wrong, you mr know all.

You continue not to understand.

Sometimes you put the OP's hardware at risk. Sometimes you give instructions that would, with absolute certainty, lead to the OP losing their game saves for no required reason. So I'm delicately asking you to stick to subject areas that you are knowledgable about.

A mature individual would not see that request as an attack.

Dude come down, it is an open forum, I see you complaining suggesting Sdsetup is wrong, no one asks for your opinion. If you got a problem stay away from me, don't quote me on any post. It is an open forum, go open your own site if you got problems.

I'm going to file a mod report at this point.

It's like there is some reading reading comprehension issue going on here. The reason that SD Setup is 'wrong' (for the OPs purposes) is because it doesn't support exactly what the OP is trying to do - directly installing an XCI.

Please stop creating additional work for me, for others that know of what they speak. It is okay not to know things. You aren't required to know. It's not about who's better, who's lesser, anything like that. This is about the person asking the question and the person with the answer. The way you operate causes more work for both of those parties, and that work is entirely unnecessary and could be avoided simply by you choosing not to give instructions about things that you don't have knowledge of. Which I shouldn't have to ask you to do. Which functional, mature individuals would not take offense at being asked if they genuinely did not know of what they speak, if they were causing problems.

I don't have all days to argue with you, that how you got suspended in the first place, running your mouth, if you gonna state that in every thread everyone else answer is wrong, may as well get off the site, you did mention that @x65943 suggestion is also wrong. Seem like you got a temper issue.

No one wants to argue with you. That you see this is an argument is a character flaw. I'm asking you to have enough respect for the person asking the question and the person with the answer - whoever they are - to not unnecessarily create more work for both parties. That's it. It's not complicated.

If something is wrong, I'll say that it's wrong. It's not a personal attack, it's not anger. And asking you in particular to stick to things that you are knowledgable of isn't an attack either. It's about time saving, risk reduction.

SD Setup is fairly bad in ways that don't really matter (created by non-technical authors, wiki full of semi-correct nonsense, uses Hekate unnecessarily, slow to get updated) but is also bad in a very specific way would impact the OP - the OP wants to install an XCI. SD Setup/Kosmos does not have the required patches to do direct XCI installs.

Last night you almost had someone waste 2 hours restoring a NAND backup for no reason at all. You almost had them lose saves for no reason at all. Solely because you didn't actually know about the issue they were having and gave instructions anyway. I'm saying that that sucks, and it can be avoided. And the only thing that reflects poorly on you is the way you act when others ask you to do simple things, things that people do out of kindness and respect. To not know something is human. To aggressively fight with the aim of not improving as a person is selfish.

What is the issue with Kosmos??

Kosmos does not support direct XCI installs with Tinfoil/Lithium. If you copy over an XCI to SD (or serve it up over USB with Nut) and install the XCI, the game will not launch. It doesn't have the required patches for that.

It's not really possible in any kind of reliable way without recompiling Hekate, without either implementing the FS patches that Fusse-Primary users use or removing the Hekate FS patches. Just use Atmosphere Fusse-Primary instead. Instructions are in my post from earlier.

If I didn't go around correcting things that were wrong in just the knick of time, people would waste two hours of their lives and lose their saves. Or maybe brick. Or just have a really hard time installing XCIs, who knows. And, because I care about other people and their lives, I don't want to see that.

You *can* install converted nsps made from xcis on kosmos and run them, it's just some converting programs do a bad job with the convversion. I've converted my own games before and ran them fine.
