Hacking Removing SDcard from WiiU?

Hey there,
I have a very old used prehackedWiiU that has HaxChi (i think, could be cbhc mod).
Is it safe to remove the sdcard so I can put it in my phone?
Will cbhc crash my wiiu if I remove the sdcard?

You need the files off the SD card, so leave it in the Wii U.

Which files are necessary if i may ask?
I could copy them to a small 8gb i have

Just copy everything off it, besides you need a SD card to install games so 8GB ain't enough.

I dont install games, as im not interested in that

Then the 8GB should be enough just copy everything off the original SD card onto the 8GB, format it as FAT32, 32kb cluster.

You should be able to remove the SD card from your console without causing too much trouble.

Just keep in mind that most homebrew is inaccessible without an SD card, as the binary code for the apps is actually stored there. You can't use the Homebrew Launcher, you can't use Mocha CFW and, as mentioned before, you can't install disc backups onto your console without an SD card. If you use Haxchi's built-in CFW or CBHC, you should still be able to use your CFW for signature patching without an SD card.

Creeper is right. You don't need an sd if you are not running any homebrew apps or installing. I use haxchi and once installed and got all my games installed, removed sd. Stops kids messing with homebrew apps too

i Just Tested That .... Everything is fine without the SD Card ... i completely thought it wouldn't even start without it ! ... Been on CBCH for a long time
