AFAIK the only part of the update that's free is the stage builder, Joker and the Persona stage are $5.99 or $25 for the fighters' pass with all the DLC characters.

Still obviously I agree with you, if you're banned then you might as well just update through nsp. It's not like they give you the option to pay them for the content at that point.

I had a feeling when we got the System Update that we were close but I wasn't expecting April 17th. No Home Run Contest, either that was a leftover or they are saving it for later. Update certainly looks good though.

I am also really hoping for Homerun smash. Its been in every smash since melee. Wont be the ultimate smash without it. I also wish we'd get something like trophy rush to get more coins. The game needs alot more single player content

It really does, it feels like all the single player content went towards Spirits.

I've been thinking about getting a stylus to be able to draw well in Splatoon 2 for a while, but now I need one for sure. It's going to be awkward and time consuming drawing stages precisely with my finger in the meantime.
