Sorry for necro thread post but I hadn’t thought about this in a while and realised that the translation Nagato and I did never did get to Romhacking due to the Mediafire issue Ziko mentions. Is anyone willing to do the submission for us?

Oh wow, someone else did another translation of this?

I've had this link open in my browser for days, as I saw Jeremy Parish tweet about it like a week ago, and finally took a minute to read the thread a bit to see it wasn't on RHDN because of it being on mediafire etc.

Anyway, I have my own server and if you'd like a home for the patch, I could either host a download to it or even give you a login to put up a site/page about the patch.

If you'd like any of that for the project, just shoot me a PM on here and we can go from there!

Thanks! On reviewing correspondence I think we actually did get hosted on ROM Hacking in the end! But we took so long another translation of the same game beat us to the punch.

Actually I looked and we didn’t make it onto RH.net it seems. r0ni, could you DM me and Nagato perhaps to see if we can figure out getting it on there?

Yeah, I’ll get at you guys sometime today. Sorry didn’t see this message until now!

I did check out romhacking.net and it appears KingMike has also done this translation in December of last year. None of that is an issue though, I’ll work on adding a submission for it this evening. I have already hosted the file on my server, which should be sufficient for their hosting needs. I renamed it as I dislike files with spaces for making links ;)

I have an account on that site, so I can add it for you guys. If you would like an actual site for hosting projects, I can also host you in my server and give you your own space to use as you please. (I used to do this for nes rom hackers YEARS ago) so it’s nothing new to me. I love to support this stuff anyway I can! Cheers! I’ll be in touch!

I can't for the life of me figure exactly how to PM someone on this site. It's just a poorly maintained mess! I submitted the patch to romhacking.net for you guys, it's pending approval now. The process could take up to 24 hours to become live, but they will send me a PM on their site when it's live.

If you guys have any questions, let me know, but the translation should be good to go on there!

Just thought I'd update on this, it appears it sat in their queue for a few days and then they deleted it. It has not been added to the site, and I'm not sure why. I was left no message of lack of compliance or anything. Really quite obnoxious, this pre-dates the one listed on their site by almost an entire year, there's no reason it can't be added to the database. That's hardly fair for any hacker who puts in time and effort into making something like this. My only takeaway from this is that, equality in a scene such as this one, does not really exist. As it had to be manually removed from the queue by a staff member, and since a staff member is the one who made the other translation available, it seems overly obvious who removed it without explanation.
