we simply don't know.. maybe it was something as simple as the hosting company (which also hosted rebug and many other sites) folding and the hosting company hadn't passed on the DNS registration money / hosting company took the money and ran.. I've had that happen once with a cheap, offshore hosting service.

sorry I posted my reply before I saw your post.. yeah I theorised that possibly the hosting service had either folded / run with the money - especially since it effected other hosted sites as well.

That's fine, of course I'm biased. Everyone is biased. It's natural evolution. I'm just more active than maybe other mods are so I get seen a lot more? I don't know. So far I yet to get a slap on the head from my supervisors.

if that's the case, then no one should be mod, because everyone is Bias, and we should just have Robots as moderators. If he is truely Biased to a point of fault, take it up with either a supermod, or a Supervisor.
There's more than one moderator for this purpose, so there's more opinions, and it's not just an echo chamber. So instead of complaining about it in a thread, message a different staff member, with proof of your claims, and go from there.

I don't believe that there is any evidence (yet?) of any "raiding" claims. However, why do you (and GaryOPA) continue to claim that this is simply a "server migration?" As has been pointed out in this thread (not just in that post, either), this is clearly not true.
ahem. (assumes the usual anal retentive mansplaining voice, oh so common on these forums).. but Technically even if the original servers had been closed and the domain seized, then setting up another DNS and a temp site IS a server migration.
