Introduction/Problem
Hello everybody, I bought a new PSTV a while ago. Before It booted to setup just fine but I had a third party Playstation 3 controller which didn't work so I had to wait to order a official controller. Now I have an official controller, and it won't power on no matter what.

What I have Tried
I have tried the power supply it came with and a third party one. I have tried different HDMI Cables and displays. It won't boot to safety mode, looked up tutorials on video and at Sony's Website. I tried adding and removing my Vita's Memory card. (I also have a Playstation Vita) It doesn't work

What It Shows
Nothing on screen. The power indicator light comes on for a second or two, then stops. That is it.

Conclusion
Does anybody know the problem or what could fix it? I am guessing it might be a power issue, but I don't know for sure. It did boot up at one time when I used it, I just couldn't get past setup. If anybody has any info, or any ideas on this problem, please let me know. Thanks!

Yeah maybe. I saw the Amps were lower actually than the included charger. Could this still damage the unit? I looked up the power specifications, and saw the one included was exact and the third party was less.

You might have damaged the unit with that third party power supply.

Check the two charger Voltage and Amp rating, if the voltage are different chance you had damaged some component.
I just checked and they are both 5 volts. The only noticeable difference I see is in the Amp rating. The third party version has 1.2 Amps, and the one included has 2.0 Amps.

I would only suggest using only official power supply, if you can't get it to power on with the original power supply, very high chance you damaged some component internally.

Try disconnecting the power then replug it to make sure it is off then proceed to hold down power button until recovery menu shows, even if it reboots just keep holding it.
I've also read that if you connect the PS3 controller via USB and then press PS-button + R1 on it it brings up recovery. Hope this helps.
