So yes guys, that's the question.

I am just starting with my Switch, I bought it with SX OS installed, with a license. auto RCM. But the guy didn't have any JIG tool or anything like that.

The person who sold me the Switch also gave me his account with like 5 games on it. So in summary I want to be able to boot in OFW, I know that to do that I have to buy a JIG tool (so I can return to SX OS).

So... I need to know if there is a way to erase history, logs, etc. BEFORE I enter OFW and before I go ONLINE. I have to say the console has been used strictly OFFLINE since the guy modded it. So nothing has been sent to Nintendo just yet.

I want to be able to play some online games he has in his account, plus buying 1 or 2 legit games to play online in the OFW.

Thank you guys, and I hope you can understand my question! If there is already an answer for this, please link me to it if you are so kind, because I couldn't find anything on the subject.

Thank you all! You are the best community! I always say it :)

You should try emunand,as far as I know you will be banned at the moment you get online, try getting another switch? Just the tablet

"emunand" won't help with this situation since their system is already modded

They can try nuking all installed titles and system+user save data with memloader and hacdiskmount I guess

Edit:
>as far as I know you will be banned at the moment you get online
My always online CFW system disagrees ;)

I understand Emunand is safer, but does it matter NOW? I mean the guy has been using the Switch using SX OS (no emunand) for like 3 months, and even if I install an Emunand and then install the games in there, whats the point? The former owner had already used many many backups (Offline) without an Emunand already.

That's why I need to find a way to erase history before I even enter OFW. Thank you guys for reading and for any other answers! ;)

Ask the guy you got it from if he made a nand dump before running any cfw. Restoring that would be the safest option.

The guy told me all the steps he made to install the SX OS and he never mentioned anything about backing up the NAND, he probably has no idea what that is. What he was adamant about though, was that he NEVER went "online" after he modded the console, and I trust he not lying.

Edit: Just talked to the guy, and no he didn't backup the NAND because it wasnt easy to do when he first modded the Switch. He told me: "You should do it know! Because SX OS has that feature built in and works fine". But now it is too late a believe.

Then your best bet is go online(as for today we don't even know what nintendo is looking for )but first delete all of the nsps he installed and the tickets also just to be sure and then use emunand for ongoing backups , your problem is that the reports file if doesn't match with what nintendo have is a big flag because probably there are some errors of using cfw and you can't delete it without being banned

Back it up now in case something goes wrong and you need to restore it, but it's useless for going online as it's dirty

So true :D. Same here.
OP, you can recreate your NAND. That's as safe as you can get without a clean NAND backup. But you will lose everything.
You can remove error reports with dreport, but only if you really never were online with an error report.

Thank you, and no the console hasn't been online since before installing SX OS. So in this case I could use dreport? Then I would need to erase tickets, I don't know how to do that, but I guess I will search more.

Thank you Kubas and everyone! And don't be afraid to add more to this thread ;)

Don't use dreport, that'll result in a ban. Yea, the best you can probably get without factory reseting or nuking all save data is deleting all titles and tickets

If you do a factory reset, do you have to do the JIG trick again I imagine? Or do you loose all your posibilities to install SX OS again? Thank you very much!

Dreport sounded good, but you tell me it will get me banned, I guess there are cases were this has ocurred? Well. thanks again, you guys have been super helpfull.

It wouldn't get rid of autoRCM. You'd still be able to use CFW. Literally all a "factory reset" does is delete all user save data and some system save data :P

You never know, if he stops now he might not get banned, sometimes your system just gets bypassed.

Then the factory reset kind of sucks for deleting history I guess :) Also I was reading about deleting titles and tickets with Goldleaf. Titles seem to be safe to erase, but deleting tickets is said to be dangerous, I wonder why? Or maybe I am complicating things and if you simply delete the titles, then the tickets will be erased too? (for previously installed NSP backups).

Well, I will continue reading, thank you guys.

If it's never been online I'd build a clean nand. There is a thread that tells you how. Then I'd restore the clean nand and take an immediate backup. Next I'd buy sx os and make an emunand and upgrade the emenand to 6.2 and leave the sysnand on whatever it is now.

I hear that's the safest way but still maybe a ban someday.

It has been online, but only before the hack, not after it. The console also has a license for SX OS already. Would auto RCM and the license work after restoring the Nand? (I dont think so) Thank you so much Kafluke.

Only if he was online with an error report (right?).

Still. Rebuilding is as safe as you can get.
