Hacking switch's screen randomely shuts off during gameplay, can still hear volume

just moved from 16 gb micro to 32 gb micro, and before the transfer, it never happened before. i don't think it would be the sd card. would it?

You could try to install your game to the NAND instead of the SD card.
If that solves the issue, it's most likely a bad SD card.

Sometimes it's the reading speed that is much slower than advertised or bad sectors causing a lot of extra work for the filesystem.
In the worst case, you just got ripped off like I was with my 16GB card from eBay (which was a 2GB card).
