Personally, I don't have a car,
however, my cousin, who is a caretaker of pregnant women, has a customised one : DOULA
And her husband, who is engeneer in computing, has a customised one too : NERD

The format for registration plates here make it almost impossible to make any words sadly.

In quebec and some states in usa,
Its possible to make a demand to gov to get customised one

We used to be able to do that until a few years ago when they changed the format of the plate to be mostly numbers.

Anyway such things are viewed as being a bit sad around here. Typically the sort of thing young boys have on their junk heaps of mid life crisis people have on their fancy cars. Depending upon the one you have they can cost quite a bit as well.

It think you get one in ontario or at least I remember reading about it in the drivers handbook. I dont have a car yet or my full licence yet, but I always wanted a custom plate. The only issue with a custom plate is that it might bring too much attention to your car. I guess the same applies to a custom paint job too.
