Does anyone know if a team is working on backup loading for the xbox one? And when it might come out? Can we start to dump our own games?

I wouldn't be surprised if nobody is working on it. There's like a whopping 12 games that are exclusive to Xbox one. Just no interest in the console. There's homebrew for dev mode and that's probably all the scene is going to get

I heard grumblings a few months back from a reliable source of ability to play downloaded titles. Idk how far along that was, or how useful.

I know it was no “backup” loader but you could decrypt and play titles that were downloaded afaik.

Take it with a pinch of salt though, as the person hasn’t been active for quite a while.

If you're speaking about Tunip, he was banned from GBATemp and probably won't be coming back. If not, please ignore this post.

Xbox Live is pretty much the only reason to own an XBONE since nearly all the games are on PC and play better there. If it was possible to mod an XBONE, you would get banned from Live making the XBONE an even worse PC than it was.

i have not tried myself but i hear using XBOXONEHDD MASTER you can simple clone hdd you downloaded games on ( set as home console ) onto same size HDD and play games on any xbox but never to go online since it removes your console set as home.

Not exactly. There was a procedure involving cloning the nand. The tech details never surfaced but there were people selling this service (you send them your xbone, they install games and send you the console back). Since I never heard about this anymore probably has been patched.

What you can do now is gamesharing thru account sharing. Useful if you want to share your legit downloads between two consoles.

In theory you can make an xbone your home console, download your digital content, disconnect from the network forever and then set another xbone home console and play online. I think you are limited to a home console swap every six month (and also you are limited to your legit digital content).

Unless something comes out to the blue there is nothing about backup loading. You can see if something happens because torrent with games will probably start appearing before the release. The Xbone is uber-safe, it receives updates with new features and "stability" almost every 2 months. I wouldn't be surprised if never get hacked before xbtwo or whatever will be called is released.
