Hello all, I got updated to 6.2.0 because I saw the prompt to download in CFW and I had stealth mode on. I figured I'd stop getting the prompt by just hitting A, it unfortunately didn't work... So I tried holding power down but it was too late.

Anyhow, I was fortune and lucky enough to have several backups and a 6.1.0 SD emumand. Many were not.

For those of us with a working emunand but no sleep mode, I humbly ask for a way to restart or power off our switches without using the power button.

It seems like it'll be a while until cfw works on 6.2.0, if ever. And I'm afraid constantly having to hold down on the power button to shut down/"sleep" will quickly cause our switches power buttons to break quicker.

Thank you.

Ps. If theirs already any way to power off/restart the switch without the power button I'd greatly appreciate knowing them. Thank you again.

There is already a homebrew for that. Also I think reinx toolkit also has this function.

Sounds like you'll have to restore your emuNAND backup. As of now, you won't be able to run homebrew apps while on 6.2

My emunand backup works fine, I can load games and stuff but since I have too many fuses burned I can't use sleep mode whatsoever.

Instead of holding the power button down to reboot my switch I'm just looking for homebrew/nsps that can hardshut down my switch or just restart it so I can shutdown via the SX menu.

So Homebrew works on your 6.2 emuNAND right now?

TBH, why don't you just hold the power button and choose either restart or poweroff? I'm on sysnand 6.2 with emunand 6.1, sleep mode was broken but power button.

ReiNX toolkit has the options you need.

This could be useful for everyone (like me) having sysnand on 6.2.0 and Emunand on 6.1.0 (or lower).
I updated too thinking it was safe, but it affected Emunand too... :(

Yep, I'm hoping it's helpful as well. I may not have sleep mode, but that won't prevent me from using my switch.

Great! Thank you so much. It's safe to assume this works with SX right? Also is the power off a hard power off or do I have to shutdown via the sx menu?

There was discussion about broken sleepmode in other thread with theoretical workaround:

I'm surprised there is actually code that can't be patched. I thought full control was available due to how early the RCM exploit is available. After all, fuse checking/burning was patched (which afaik lives in the read-only bootloader), and sig checks are patched (which afaik lives in HOS), so I thought everything was fair game.

Is it an option for the "wake from sleep" functionality of the warmboot, for too many burned fuses, be recreated from scratch instead in some CFW (like Atmosphere), using raw Tegra access? Although I'd assume that's at the same league of difficulty as writing sound drivers for Lakka :P

Even if you recreate it (which is very easy. It's the smallest binary 5KB.), it just wont work.

The warmboot binary is like the BCT. Bootrom checks its signature and sees if it matches the data. If not, halts.
The problem is that we can't create that signature.

I suppose that using a warmboot from another version may work. Never tried that though.
With hekate you can do this. Dump a warmboot that matches your fuses and use that on the downgraded one.
warmboot={SD path}
And then create a patch for secmon, so it will use the correct PA segment for warmboot (also checked together with efuses).

Wait... you had stealth mode on ALL the time and still got the update notification? How come?

When I launched OFW/Horizon it prompted me to update. I launched my switch into CFW and it ended up still prompting me, I clicked A expecting nothing to happen but I got fucked instead.

Sounds interesting, if that second solution I'd love to know. It seems like it doesn't work tho. Also do you have a link to that? I'd be interested in it .

So there is no way to downgrade to 6.1 ?
I don't have any backup, I just upgraded from 5.1 to 6.1 with ChoidujourNX, and then updated by mistake (that was really dumb, I was just checking that choidujour update was correct on the console info and clicked "update" and this update was so fast, I ran into my box to unplug it but it was too late..)
