So I'm one of the fools that accidentally updated to 6.2, but I have a 5.1 backup so I know I can get CFW working again if I really want to; but I've read reports in other threads that EMUNAND on 6.1 or older still works fine even if your main NAND is on 6.2. So I was wondering if this plan would have and chance of working to get everything working again:

-Restore my 5.1 NAND
-Use SXOS to create a 5.1 EMUNAND on my 2nd SD Card
-Then use ChoiDujourNX or some other process to update my main NAND back to 6.2

If this worked, couldn't I in theory have fully working 6.2 on my main NAND and 5.1 working on my EMUNAND?

Sorry if i didnt make it clear.

He was not able to update ANYTHING, firmware, games , play anything online.
So i believe it was a CDN ban , but now he is able to update fw, games but no play online.
Nintendo changed the way the CDN worked around firmware 6.0. They moved game updates behind dauth, which is the name of the server you have to go through to play online, and all CDN downloads required the use of a daily edge token. Given these changes, its my guess Nintendo reversed all CDN bans to normal bans because now people could no longer abuse CDN downloading at least publicly. Although if your friend can still update games, and not be thrown an error code, his information would prove vital in understanding bans. If either you or him could fill out the form in this thread, the community would greatly appreciate it.

Don't use emunand if you don't want to fuck up your SD card

What do you mean you burned efuses and sleep mode still works fine? I'm on 6.2 if I restore a 6.1 backup and then update emunand to 6.2 sleep mode will still work?? Or if I restore a 6.1 backup and keep emunand on 6.1 sleep mode will still work?
Im on 6.1.0 and sleep mode works fine. I have 7 burned fuses

Vague and missleading. You should ignore users like this
Well, it's already prooven whatever you like it or not, exfat can get fucked up if a write goes wrong
Is a Nintendo problem (confirmed by TX), so don't use emunand if you don't want to fuck up, tx fanboy that have the need to say that their $35 were worthy when you don't even need to and can't accept single wrong thing

Sorry, but that's not useful at all for my question.

I should've put a disclaimer on my question stating that I'm already aware of the risks of emunand and don't care. I've already read your threads about it and it's not an issue for me.

SD cards are cheap; and I just got this switch after confirming that it wasn't a patched one, so I have nothing of value on the SD card. I'll make frequent backups of my save data once I start using it.

$35? I got mine for $26 and it's totally worth it?

Can't people just use fat32 if they are scared exfat will corrupt?

I have one switch on emunand on exfat and the other on fat32. I'll post if anything goes wrong with either. So far the exfat is working just fine. I do have a backup of it because its the one with 400gb sd card. Don't feel like installing everything again if something goes wrong.

No I can't boot into 6.0.1 emunand at all. I can only boot into the SX Menu on 6.2.0 sysnand. I can't do anything else whatsoever.
Did you create your emunand separately on the sd card before you updated? That is strange if you did a few are reporting emunand works after updating too 6.2.

It simply just isn't being recognized by me. Even if I did get it working wouldn't the sleep but pop up?

Again, where does it say it's not usable anymore?
Use it, play heaps of your legally purchased games! Have fun!

But if the console is fully banned and you can't load any homebrew could you still apply system updates in the future to play newer retail game carts?

Hi everybody,

I’m new on the hack scene for switch and i have a problem.

I just received today my sx gear and installed reiNX on sd card.

So i didnt see this news and i updated my switch this morning on 6 2 0.

No problem i’ll wait for a new patch.

But i can’t Boot by RCM method (sx gear and jig), and i dont know if it’s the reason about this update, or my install on the sd card is wrong.

If i boot with rcm should i see anything ? I have just a black screen.

Thanks for your help and sorry for my english.

Check out videos on youtube about how to use RCM mode. The black screen is normal, you need to learn the additional steps.
