For me is like the reason I CFW my Switch in the first place, I couldn't see any value in the offer Nintendo made.

Cloud saves should be free, or at least give me the option to backup my save locally, plus an app for vocal chat? Is Nintendo completely out of his mind?

The only thing mildly good are the NES games, but for me they lost the opportunity to be literally the Netflix of retro gaming, I would gladly pay 20-30€ a month for a library full of SNES, GC and N64.

Well, then no dedicated server...super disappointed. What do you think about this matter?

I use the family plan and I find it fair for how many consoles it grants access to online and NES games. I feel like we have only seen the beginning of what will be offered, but I also feel like it could have been internally matured more before public launch (I.e. more retro games, better voice chat support, etc).

I find that if people buy and are content this weak offer, Nintendo will continue down to his path of mediocrity, love the console but damn for 20€ (annually) I don't feel I'm getting anything worth it.

I dislike the service and anyone who feels likewise should just hack the console to hell... I maybe would've fanboyd it years ago but it truly is a terrible service which uses Peer to Peer making it just a whole lot more questionable...

Brings me onto a side thought I've had recently about how people hacking the switch are benefiting so much more, like playing Pokémon illegally early, getting custom themes and more... Other than playing with others online I'm pretty sure everything else is capable of being done on a hacked switch even getting the nes titles... (That service ruined VC and therefore has likely ruined any chance of Gamecube games coming to the switch)

Back on point though I've never tried the service but I'll list what put me off and made me decide to go down the hacked route.

> Paying for something that was initially free
> Peer to Peer inexcusable (no dedicated servers?)
> NES games are far too old, overplayed and easily accessible elsewhere for free for the majority of Nintendo fans over the age of 16... (imo).
> Making us pay for cloud backups is ridiculous, especially when by not paying and hacking you benefit of owning the save file and being able to modify it.
> I never play online often enough for it to be worth my time personally and I would not pay just on a one off.
> Back to the first, it was free for a year or two? You can't make something free for so long then make it cost with a lousy service that is literally just a pay wall over what it was originally..
> Finally, the hacking scene has always been numerous steps ahead in offering features and offers those which Nintendo never will themselves. I don't think I'll even pay for their online when their next gen console comes out unless it's vastly improved 1000%.

Family Plan here with 3 users in my house and sold one slot for $5 to one of my kids friends (with parents permission) so cost was only $30. 3 Switches (2 OFW, 1 CFW).

Sure it could be better but if you want to play Splatoon what choice do you have? The Cloud backup feature actually is beneficial to a degree since we have to share OFW consoles. Just wish Splatoon rankings were tied to account and not console.

There are a lot of things to be outraged about in the world, and at least to me, $20-$35 a year for online is pretty low on that list. Certainly lower than crappy Joyless Con durability. :gun:

It's so sh*t, after spending circa $100 a month on this system since launch, upon announcement of this tard of a service I hacked my Switch, bought a 256GB SD Card and am having the most fund I've ever had with it.

I really don't like the service. I've been trying to boycott it, even though it probably won't do much.

...And besides, I'm probably going to buy it anyway because I really want to play some Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Online.

I feel you shouldn't have to pay for a membership to play games online, especially considering a lot of the online games' servers aren't hosted by Nintendo. I don't think we should be charged for cloud saves (especially since it isn't blanket support). To be honest, for the price, if you're really into the NES games it's not a bad value. I'll definitely get the membership if either N64 or Gamecube games are added to the plan or once the core Pokemon RPG is released.

Extremely basic...
Special offers ( NES ???) are just nonsense. I don't do online play at all, don't have time to dedicate to it, so for me the service is just... bah
