i tested to add a hd dir and could rename it to DH1 on my classicwb system hdf. i put all the Games and assigned the path (DH1:Games) with WHDLOAD.
When I open the 'Games' folder UAE4all freezes, have to wait a long time until the folder opens. When I click into the Game folders, the workbench won't recognize them as real 'drawers'. Is this an exfat problem?

I recommend not using HD Dir with large folders with many files etc. HD Dir uses the local filesystem and mounts it inside the emulated Amiga. It tries to map filenames and filesystem flags, but it is imperfect because the filesystem limitations are different between the host (Fat32 or Exfat) and the Amiga (FFS or OFS). It even allows writing from the Amiga to the host filesystem more or less directly. I personally don't like an emulated machine accessing my SD Card filesystem directly. It could potentially corrupt files, depending on which programs you run on the Amiga side.

Because of these issues and limitations with HD Dir, .hdf is MUCH more compatible. HD Dir works well with small folders sometimes, or to quickly copy a file from SD Card filesystem into a .hdf, but that is about it.

I would therefore strongly suggest to use WinUAE or FSUAE on your desktop to create a new .hdf file, and copy the files from your HD Dir into a .hdf file. Then use that new .hdf file in Uae4All2.

Hello partners.
I would like to know if someone has a file hdf.with workbench 3.5, or 3.9 of 1gb or 2 gb to run it in this emulator and see the workbench in its greatest visual power, I would be very happy to see it so beautiful and to be able to share it with everyone.
Thank you very much if someone helps me to share with us.:hrth::switch:

Hi All,
I can not understand how run hdf file.

I installed emulator and it works. I put the kickstarts in the kickstarts folder.
I put a hdf file (it is a zip file with a lha inside) in the rom folder.
Now how can I run a hdf file??

Thanks in advance

This is just a minor gripe, but... for the menu navigation, would you be able to add an option to have the A button is "OK / select" instead of B? I guess the current behaviour is a carry-over from the Vita port using the Sony X / O button config.

As far as I know you need an actual .HDF file and not anything else. It sounds like you what you might have is actually a WHDLoad archive, and I'm not sure how to use those yet. The only things I've gotten to work are .HDF and .ADF files. If you're able, try to find a source for Ransom's Amiga HDF collection, though it doesn't seem to be easily available outside of some private trackers.

Yes, great idea! I will try to do that. I should be able to add such an option in the next release (very soon).

Is there any way to add a bezel for down the sides of the black bars? I think it would look better if they werent just bars.

I know what you mean, but that is not called LINEAR filtering. LINEAR and BILINEAR filtering give the same blurry look. I think what you want is POINT filtering (as sharp as possible). I will add a POINT filtering option to the shaders in the next release. It will be sharp and fullscreen at the same time. I personally don‘t like that look, because the pixels change shape during scrolling and become distorted, unless your scale factor happens to be an exact integer (2x, 3x etc). But some people like it so it will be good to have the option.

I can add an option but what do you have in mind. Maybe attach a bezel image? Keep in mind the bezels should look good even if they fill out different size black bars, so maybe a repeating, tiled pattern?

I have several WHDLoad archives. How can I use them using HDFs? Been some time for me playing Amiga emulators but this has reignited my interest :)

Zip files (commonly find on windows) and LHA (Amiga) are compressed filed. You can use winrar under windows to unpack them and then transfer the HDF to the Switch.

Does this emulator support whd roms or just .hdf?

WHD roms ? You mean games installable on a HDD ? The answer is yes, it is more related to the OS than the emu.

Be sure that the emu is set to 50hz and your workbench too. If they are too fast, use 7mhz in the emu. If they are still too fast try the tool type "nocache" in the game property icon.

Not sure to Understand :

- HDF = Amiga Hard Disk File = no need to swap disk with whdload if the game was correctly installed
- ADF = Floppy disk file = Loaded from the Amiga boot, no HDF files needed. However, some games require disk swapping (up to more than 15 disk on some games).

Any chance of a crt shader in the next release please?

Wish you used PayPal for donations, made a 40+ year old guy very happy with this :)

Is it against the rules to share the hdf collection from Ransoms pi image?

Asking before I post a link.
