are you playing on Wii or WiiU ?
the "wiiu widescreen" is working only on WiiU.

if you talk about the widescreen (force 16:9 on 4:3 games), it's called force widescreen.
if you talk about the very small black bars (not the 4:3 black bars) even when using widescreen, it's the video width setting, from 640 to 720. (edit 40 to 120, it will add 600 to the value you choose).
If nintendont can do it, USBLoaderGX only tells nintendont which settings to use, so just compare the settings you use in nintendont and replicate them and the values in USBLoaderGX gamecube settings to generate the same ones for nintendont to use.

if you are not sure, or the settings names are different, post all your nintendont settings here and I'll tell you the counterpart settings name in usbgx. I tried to keep their names similar enough though.

if you want to set video width 718 for all games, go to USBLoaderGX global settings and choose the nintendont video width settings, set it to 118.
Maybe I should change the way it's displayed / saved.
the setting is using "118" but the user don't understand why it's not 718. I might change it to display the correct value but substract 600 to the entered value without the user knowing it so the setting is correctly set to what nintendont expects.

Thank you, it worked! Now my games are full screen, thank you :). However, I've noticed while trying out the screen size that something very odd is going on with some of the games in the usb loader that doesn't normally happen with nintendont, even before I changed the video width setting. For example, clicking on Mega Man X: Command Mission has its banner use the Mega Man X Collection's, as well as launch The X Collection when I try to boot it up. When it launches The X Collection, the bottom half of the screen is cut off and replaced with black. The Mega Man X Collection also uses Command Mission's box art, though that may just be a problem with gametdb. Sorry if it sounds like I'm complaining, I really appreciate the help you've given me so far!

if you have banner issue, it's often caused by a corrupted/bad dump.
if you have bottom screen black, it's often due to wrong method to launch USBLoaderGX (you are missing ahb access). Don't run it from priiloader.

If a game use another game cover/banner, it's due to wrong TitleID on your device. either wrong titleID in the folder or inside the ISO itself.

if you have a corrupted banner, and the TitleID is wrong, it makes me think the ISO has been modified and it's header is wrong (wrong titleID ?)
The banner for gamecube are either auto-generated based on savegame icon, or using a custom banner (made by a user on gbatemp, AbdallahTerro) which might be corrupted. Try deleting it (in the game settings > delete menu > delete animated banner ?) and download it again, or use the auto-generated icon.
if autogen icon is bad, it means the iso has an issue.

Ok, I don't run it from priiloader, I use a channel forwarder. I'll check to see if the if the title id is wrong for the X Collection, and I'll delete the banner stuff for Command Mission. I'll get back to you on it

So after correcting the title id for the x collection, Command Mission got it's proper banner and appears to be working great. I got an error from nintendont when trying to launch the x collection the first time, but after trying it a second time it works. It also now has it's correct box art. Thank you so much for your help!! :D

if you already had a savegame, you might have to start from the beginning again. (or rename the old savegame filename based on the game's titleID. That's maybe why you had an error the first time)

Just tested that out and it appears that my save game from when I played on nintendont is still working and accounted for (EDIT: Just realized it's probably because I have multi for mem card emulation on lol). Again, thank you!!!

hi people, sorry to ask here but i can't set up usbloadergx to work with neeko.
i followed this guide from cyan here:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/help-ge...neek-di-wiiware-vc-games.486801/#post-7636652
i think my emunand is ok, i can play some games without problems but i can't with a neo-geo game.
i tested it in realnand and it loads fine.
i created sneek files with modmii and copied them in my sd\sneek folder:
di.bin
font.bin
kernel.bin
rev.txt generated from modmii says "SNEEK+DI (verbose) neek2o rev96".
after setting emunand mode to neek in loader, the screen goes black and
the dvd led on wii keep blinking every 2 seconds.
if i reboot i find these subfolder were created on sd, all empty:
import
shared1 (content.map inside, 0 bytes)
shared2
sneekcache
sys
ticket
tmp
i uploaded here my syscheck if useful.
can anyone help me? thanks guys.

verify the path to your emuNAND in usbloadergx is correct.
it looks like it tried to use SD root instead of the path set in your settings.

Are you using SD or USB for emuNAND path ?
if it's on usb, you need uneek, not sneek.

i didn't change my emunand path in custom path, it's on sd\nand, i recheked. i build it inside the loader.
i'm using sd, for other games emunand works well.

edit: if i try the boot neek command under features menu, same result.

edit2: after more googling, it seems a common problem, a lot of people who are trying to use a nand on sd with neeko and get stucked at "reloading bootmii ios" with no clear solution.

no, no, reloading bootmii IOS is another problem. USBLoaderGX does not even use bootMii IOS at all, so it can't be the same problem.

Neek2o expects the emuNAND path to be in 2 sub folders (it's either a feature, or a bug, I'm not sure).
try to move your emunand folder from :
sd:/nand/
to
sd:/nands/nand1/

set this path in USBLoaderGX's "emuNAND Channel folder" too,

Look in sneek folder if there's a emuNAND bin or cfg file, and delete it. it's possible this emuNAND config file is located in the emuNAND path itself instead of sneek folder too, I don't remember either its filename nor its location.

then try again.

more info:

you can have multiple nands in there :
sd:/nands/PAL/
sd:/nands/USA/
sd:/nands/3.2J/
etc.
neek2o has an option to real-time switch from one to another (example, you boot neek using "nands/PAL/" emuNAND folder, you have a hidden feature in sneek2o to switch to "nands/3.2J/" folder without exiting/rebooting the console).

Hi guys,
So I don't tear my hair off anymore, may I ask that someone cool enough tests a couple of games for me?
Active Life: Explorer, Castlevania Judgement, specifically.
They both exit to Homebrew Channel, but other games work. They are in wbfs.

I've set IOS in the Loader Config to 249/250 both for loader and game, same result.

Thanks.

@eyeliner Confirmed Active Life: Explorer, and Castlevania Judgment as working today. I started a new game in both, played for about 5 minutes (scrubbed, in .wbfs format).

I have a question about categories on USB Loader GX. I'd like to categorize my games by required controller scheme (Wiimote, Wiimote + Nunchuck, Classic Controller, Gamecube Controller) but I haven't been able to find a roundabout way of doing it in the forums. Is there a tool to assist in automating this?

If no tool exists, I might try and create my own, but I haven't been able to figure out how USB Loader GX reads the controller requirements from the game .wbfs files (shown with the controller icons in the '2' additional info screen).

Well, must be my copies, then. CFGLoader doesn't even show them on the list, along with a few others. I shall retry my efforts, then.

Thanks, my friend.

You can import categories from the GameTDB XML file. I think one of them is controller. (That's where the info screen gets the data from, too.)

@GreyWolf Thanks for the reply, GreyWolf! I don't know how I missed the option to import categories, but I found it. For anyone else, it's under 'Settings > Features > Import Categories'.
