Ok, I might be exaggerating
Being WRONG is not exaggerating.

few thousand of efuse is kinda exaggerating too. No?
#1 I'm not the one who said the "few thousand" line, all I said here is that you were COMPLETELY WRONG.
#2 I've seen figures from 512 UP TO 4096, which is definitely "a few thousand" if true
From reading several Tegra X1 spec sheets and information from several devs and the Tegra Shield, All I could conclude is ">512" where some numbers where even 4096, enough to blow one for every system update to come for its entire lifetime atleast
Seriously, still trying to defend your totally wrong statement is just making you look bad.

Important questions: Has anyone ever burnt all of their efuses, and what happens if you burn through them all?
I think that on an OFW the switch will boot normally (fuse-checks are for ""update packages"" isn't it?) but you couldn't update firmware and if you go online you'll be banned because no switch out there will have all fuses burnt officially :/
On the other side with CFW and its fuse-check dissabled you could use "normally" your switch.

IMO all fuse burnt if does what i theorise it's not a "big deal" because you can't burn all fuses officially if not with a huge fail from nintendo on an upgrade that would lead to a BIG problem if not doubled-checked befor launching update (but this is just exaggerating).

With the risk of sounding like an idiot, is it possible for the switch to burn itself or start a fire?

Thank you for your reply. Guess we can rely on Nintendo to release a quality product.

Highly unlikely. Just like everyday fuses are pretty safe to use.
Fuses prevent fires among other things, as for efuses, there purpose if more protection from hacking/piracy (regardless of ibms original intent)

Normal fuses in electronics are for safety or to prevent damage to components.

Very tru. Just sayin it would be pretty dumb of Nin if there was a significant risk of fire/explosion while using efuses, so highly unlikely.

The efuses are nothing other then just a normal chip with transistors, except the fuses can't switch between ones and zero's. Once it's a zero it stays a zero. It's not like they are literally burning inside your switch. So defenitly no risk for your switch to explode while burning a fuse.
