Anyone knows how to handle MAME2003 or FBA2012 playing Shooter Flying Vertical games? I always get upside down screen when trying play Psikyo games like Gunbird, Strikers 1945.
I'm using FBA 0.2.97.30 romset.

Can anyone help me, please?
Looking through the options didn't work for me either. I checked every single menu page and it simply wasn't there.

But I did find a "Flip Screen" option in the dip switch settings after loading a game (press ZR). It probably depends on the game but it's worth checking. I tried it with 1941 and it worked perfectly, though the dip switch menu is still upside down.

EDIT: I just tried it with Gunbird and it works perfectly. :) Using MAME2003 with the 0.78 ROM set.

Started from scratch as I could not get retroarch to work through the loader off the Wii u menu. Downloaded it, put it on SD card, went into Homebrew channel and started it and I get this. What do I do now, it seems to be missing information

I tried updating, no luck, so I went to a different tutorial and it had a link to just download the xmb files. Works now. Now, is there a list of what all these cores are for? List I want is? NES, SNES, Atari 2600, Master System, Genesis plus cd and 32x if possible, TG 16 (pc engine) with cd's if possible, neo geo, gameboy, gameboy color, gameboy advance, atari lynx, sega gamegear and just for fun virtual boy. Can I get some suggestions and can I delete the rest of the cores out of the cores in retroarch/cores?

I've not got the absolute latest cores, but having no issues with FF3/6 here on snes9x... musicman, retroarch tells you itself what the cores emulate: go to core updater and it'll tell you there.... I wouldn't delete the rest of the cores - think you've had enough problems deleting things no? ;)

Personally (when there's a choice of cores)
Nestopia for NES (fceumm is fine too)
Snes9x for SNES
VBA for Game Boy/Color/Advance (though I also like gambatte for regular GB/GBC)
FBA for Neo Geo

Visit libretro docs, navigating to 'For Users' - 'Core Documentation' for more information (Bios files, romsets etc)
No 32X for Wii U unfortunately, but yes for TG-CD (again, visit the link for information regarding the required bios files for that core)

I dont know what im doing wrong then. I tried starting from fresh with a new SD card.I tried different versions of retroarch, all the SNES cores, but no matter what my SNES games run like crap.. is there anything I can do to get my setup working correctly?

You need the assets in the assets folders in the retroarch folders.
They are not in the retroarch package

I downloaded playlist buddy to help me with all my ROMs. When I run it the only folder that it made thumbnails for was virtual boy. This is also the only folder that I don't have the ROMs broken up by #-C, D-G or something similar, is this why they didn't do thumbnails? Do I have to go into each one and specify the sub folder to look into?

Any word on PS1 emulation? I know PSP is advancing, which is great, but I really wish for someday to play Xenogears on my TV!

Might have been asked in the past, but I don't want to read through 528 pages. Does the SNES emulator in retroarch play all SNES games, ie mario RPG or not? Also does it play MSU1 games?
I'm pretty sure they do. Stuff like Yoshi's Island and Star Fox 2 work just fine.

So I'm pretty new to retroarch, I've got everything set up in terms of games but I keep running into an issue regarding the music, specifically the music tab. How do I add music to the mixing stream? I'm not entirely sure where I am supposed to place the music files (mp3, wav and what have you) in the folder structure. Do they have a specific folder they're supposed to go into? Likewise what are the limitations of music in terms of bit-rate and song duration?

Honestly the music player is not very well fleshed out. It doesn't work like a music player it's more like... music replacement for games (and it's unfinished) and very WIP so it won't work for... well, listening music.

Guys, I've been looking for an answer to my question EVERYWHERE with no luck.
I want to get a couple of SN30 (previously called SNES30) gamepads from 8bitdo to use on my Wii U mainly with retroarch (maybe some VC, but it's not that important) but before I do that I want to make SURE they will work (and work well at that, no input delay, lag, issues etc).
I'm sure at least one of you have this gamepad and could help me with this.
AFAIK theres supposed to be a custom or "old" firmware that enables the ability to connect to a Wii/ Wii U but I've read about some "issues" (nothing specific) as well... But NO ONE (aparently) uses it for retroarch (which blows my mind)
Anyway, I'd really appreciate any comcrete info on this cause sadly I have no way of testing it before buying.
Thanks.

Every time I use the fast forward option in VBA it crash the console, is there any fix for this? It's the only core who crash the console with this

If you navigate to Settings>Frame Throttle then set the "Maximum Run Speed" to 2.0x or 3.0x. That should stop it from Crashing :)
