So right now at the moment CFW doesn't allow backup games loading? NSP/XCI?
Only SX Pro does?

Can someone tell me SX PRO vs CFW/Reinx advantages/disadvantages?
Is softmod Cfw permanent?
AFAIK ReiNX supports NSP installation with TinFoil or DevMenu

No softmod is permanent, hence the name "soft mod" which means it can easily be taken away (unlike a hard mod).
What I mean is. It's not like the SX PRO or Henkaku.. run at boot eacht time. Is it auto activated?"
Which CFW are there currently other then REINX?

ReiNX and if you have hekate fork with sigpatch, Atmosphere. Both can load NSP backup.

The CFW itself isn't permanent...

But installing nsp-files is.
They won't run under ofw, but the installed data (and more important: invalid tickets) will stay in system memory.
So. what do you need to do each time you boot up switch to get into CFW?
Are all games available in NSP? or do you need some XCI files aswell for some games?

You have to inject the payload on every boot (Use the Dongle, or inject with Smartphone/PC).

It's likely that every game will be available as nsp.
But currently it's not.

Some games are missing since we need users to dump the correspondig titlekeys.
But the list of titles is growing....

Thats wrong. A softmod is a modification of the software. The fusee stuff is a softmod for example. A hardmod is a modification of the hardware. E.g. Installing a modchip like the trinket m0. A softmod can be permanent. Those softmods for the Wii were permanent.

Sorry but I wasn't talking about the SX PRO but about CFW in this case.
So eventually every game will be installable as NSP?
Because i remember with the 3ds some games were eshop exlusive etc.. or cart exclusive is why i ask.

Is it the SX Pro dongle?
Or can you do with soft mods or other methods?

What is important to look for when buying a switch that is hackable/moddable.

Question, if you get a micro sd card, can you pull it out ON THE FLY? and put a new one in without restart console?
Why I ask is because, you can't do this with the vita. Well you can with SD2vita but corrupt your files.
But as for orginally with the PSvita memory card you can't eject it while it's on.
Maybe the switch has safe remove feature?

Why I ask is because, I want to SEE all my games on the Dashboard that i have. And not wait while switching around memory cards.
400 or 512 GB micro sd won't be enough for all switch games, as im an archive guy. I want to see the entire library.
Do the icons that you may see of the microSD that you have, dissappear when you eject the SD? Or will they stay, but simple leave a message that they can't start?

Or do I need to turn off switch for new icons to reappear after input new microsd, if switching off is necessary, and all old icons are gone?
This would sux big time tbh if it were like that.

my personal preference is google.com

sx-pro is only way to play xci (cartridge dumps) and also plays nsp files.

if you absolutely can't get sx-os or sx-pro for whatever reason then go with this

https://gbatemp.net/threads/quick-g...ates-dlc-with-devmenu-no-sx-os-needed.512337/

this worked for me wonderfully on my second switch though it's only for nsp's.

Ok let me clear things up here. No cfw is permenent currently. To launch a cfw you gotta enter rcm mode with a jig or paper clip. Then you got to inject the payload for the cfw you want to use. This can be done with a PC and a USB to USB C wire or a phone with a USB c to USB c wire or a sx pro dongle. Now their are 3 cfw's: Sx os, Reinx, and hekate / atmosphere. I wouldn't recommend Reinx since it is literally the same thing as hekate just with less features. Now as you know their are 2 backup types XCI (Cartridge) and NSP (Eshop). Sx os supports both formats while hekate only supports NSP. Nsp needs to be installed with a installer ounce while Xci needs to be launched with a launcher everytime you want to play it. XCI is a lot safer but Nsp is the better format. So if you care about getting banned get sx pro but if you don't care then use hekate for free.
