Intimidated by complicated no-fuse-burning update method. Laziness. No interest in recent games. Lack of reliable internet. Take your pick.
Yeah, ok i understand those but if you want to use the CFW is there a reason for no fuse burning method? As for the rest I'd say laziness is the most prominent

According to reddit poll, 30-40% of users were not latest firmware. It's certainly not a small enough crowd to ignore if Rei's intention is to cater to all users.
According to a GBATemp poll from January, 54.3% of users were on 4.0.0 or higher, and this is before 5.0.0+ came out. This means it's very likely that the vast majority of people are on 4.0.0 or higher, the versions currently compatible with ReiNX.

im not saying they should update, but considering how easy it is to access rcm on top of having access to an auto rcm function, its super easy to just not care about being on the latest firmware unless you bought a new switch recently because you were waiting on a CFW to be released first

My post is a reference to this, which I presume mostly caters to reddit users who visit /r/SwitchHacks.

That doesn't tell us anything about who is on 4.0.0-5.1.0 and who isn't. I would also argue that GBATemp users are at least somewhat more likely to use ReiNX than Reddit users.

Edit: According to these poll results, the vast majority (72%) are on 5.1.0, and we don't know how many of the remaining users are on 4.0.0+.

Does ReiNX support Card backups that can be played, without installation?
It appears to, yes.

It it because of the long and tedious process of updating without buring fuses, there is not much people use it?

Long and tedious? You only need to have the jig on the joycon rail and updating via internet keeping pressed the vol+ during the update process.

That's probably the case. That, and a lot of people are unaware of the process of upgrading without burning efuses and/or only become aware of it when it's too late.

He's referring to the safer guide. The way you described is risky with regard to accidentally burning efuses.

With AutoRCM installed, it's nearly impossible to accidentally burn efuses, unless one uses SX OS 1.0.

It appears to, yes.
/r/SwitchHacks users are rather anti-atmosphere at this point in time so many updated in response to drama, much like GBATemp users.

Many joke about Rei because Rei has only shown a splash from ReiNX. They forget where Luma3DS came from and so they show disrespect. They don't know what is happening in this thread.

Incident with ReSwitched was handled the day of ktemkin removal announcement and have already continued their progress again at this point in time. Many have signed off Atmosphere and show disrespect to ReSwitched as well.

I feel it is better to simply camp out on your lowest firmware possible and wait to see who appears with a graceful hacking solution. I really like Rei's update patch thingy that prevents fuse burning.
