We are still working on the patch and progress is being made, the first post of this thread is being updated to reflect some of this progress as we go.
There is no schedule at the moment.

Maybe out from the topic but are you still continue on Sol Trigger English patch???

Nice. At it's very worst the project is showing more promise than Sega's new bout in the series.

I'm not too up-to-date with mobile games but I think it looked kinda like Fate/Grand Order. Guessing there is going to be lots of micro-transactions and gacha for new characters, since the pre-registration bonus was a 5 star character I think.

Maybe out from the topic but are you still continue on Sol Trigger English patch???

The plan is to use the tools I'm working on now to hard-sub the videos for Sol Trigger too.
I may also need to re-write my tools for Sol Trigger so I can actually put together a patch...
but yes, the aim is to release a patch.

What exactly do expect to happen when it goes open source? They're not getting the help they need now and that won't change if it did. All that would happen is people would steal the code and others would compile it to play the patch early. TortiseSVN is surprisingly easy to use you know...
They're not getting the help now because they aren't accepting or even *responding* to the multiple people in the thread offering it. Open source code means you can freely contribute on *your* schedule, not on *theirs.*

They aren't accepting it cause Jam is egotistical. Open Source would make too much sense, hell even releasing what they have now would make too much sense but noooo it has to be done the way they want it as they hold up progress all these years when someone else could've taken up the work

I dont get these guys at all

They're not releasing what they have now because what they have now is not in a playable state. Memory Leaks and unavoidable crashes are the only thing preventing this from being finished if im not completely mistaken. I don't know about you but I'd rather wait for the patch to be finished than having so stop playing at chapter 2 because there is a unavoidable crash.

Are you one of the guys that "could've taken up the work"? It seems like you really want this translation to happen, if that's the case then why would you try to piss this guy off? @JamRules isn't going to want to supply a patch for dipshits who don't appreciate the effort he puts into his free time for this game. He's so close to the end now, of course he wants his full credit. Would be like writing an essay w/o a conclusion and giving it away so someone can look like a hero. Chill out, dude's not getting paid for this.

I wasn't involved in the other thread but thank you to all those that offered to help.
As obviously I don't have access to Weyu's PMs I therefore, like everyone else, don't know what was discussed and what was not.

My romhacking is a hobby, that is to say I'm doing this because I enjoy it.
Admittedly I was very naive and this project has taken way way longer than I had expected.
When I created this thread I thought that the tools were done enough for the patch to be created properly, and man was I wrong.
Knowing what I do now there are definitely things that I would do differently.

I'm sure that there are many out there that are much more capable then myself who could do a better job.
That said, and it is probably unfair to say this but if someone else wanted to pick up the game they had plenty of opportunity.
The game was out for years before I started working on it.
Coldbird had halted his patch attempt for a while.
I was publicly "absent" for a while too.

In regards to open source, I have my reasons for not wanting to go down that route.
Whether or not everyone else would agreed that they are valid or not, I'm doing what I think is best.

This, we don't want to release something that is incomplete and broken.
This would just make everyone unhappy.

Great news, thanks for this!

Thanks for the support :)

@JamRules I have a question regarding making an request for one certain game for the psp (
Lord of Apocalypse JP is a Action RPG game published by Square Enix released on December 17, 2011 for the Sony PlayStation Portable) would you ever have someone handle that project or something?

Thanks :yaypsp:

Sorry, I really don't have the time to take on any more projects than I already have, I have quite the backlog as it is.
For the record I enjoyed Lord of Apocalypse a lot when it came out, much better than Lord of Arcana, but maybe the Vita version is a better bet.

Game with just menus/weapons/photon arts translated would make me quite happy, i assure you. Incomplete is better than nothing. Broken is another story.
But seeing as i'm incapable of translating the game myself and too lazy to even learn to read kanas - i'll just wait until you guys are done =D
Keep up the good work people! ...and i'll just keep on stalking ;)

I've been stalking for a while now. I'm glad that this project is up and running again! I'm no translator or anything but I can give my full support on this. Keep up the good work! Pay no mind to the ungrateful people who keep whining about an early release or whatever. Work at your own pace. This is your hobby and as such, treat it as one and enjoy it. As for other people, we should all respect his work and root for him. Build him up. Don't bring him down.
