Hardware What stylus is the same as New Nintendo 3DS XL?

I've just bought a New Nintendo 3DS XL, yayyyy! It has no screen protector. No problem. But here's one: the stylus. I've just threw a search on MercadoLibre: "New Nintendo 3DS stylus". The only things that appear are Nintendo DS/DSi/XL/3DS stylus, touch screen replacement, and touch screen protectors (wow). You know how Venezuela is just... ruined. A disaster.

So that's why I'm asking this: since Nintendo 3DS XL stylus is NOT the same as New Nintendo 3DS XL. They said Nintendo 3DS XL's stylus is large and thin, and New Nintendo 3DS XL's stylus is short and thick.

EDIT: I've seen there's no way I can find one exactly same, so I'm searching for a new deal: WHICH STYLUS is as THICK as New Nintendo 3DS XL. So I can just modify it to the necessary length, just like I did with my Nintendo DS Lite stylus (R.I.P. it doesn't fit on my New Nintendo 3DS XL, and it's always going to fall down.)

If this isn't going to fix my problem, I don't know what will.

I've seen there's no way I can find one exactly same, so I'm searching for a new deal: WHICH STYLUS is as THICK as New Nintendo 3DS XL. So I can just modify it to the necessary length, just like I did with my Nintendo DS Lite stylus (R.I.P. it doesn't fit on my New Nintendo 3DS XL, and it's always going to fall down.)

If this isn't going to fix my problem, I don't know what will.

OOo, it's not just you. The grooves in the pen holder wears down.

[reddit, r/3dshacks] Stylus on New 3DS falling out? Put a piece of duct tape in the stylus cavity to prevent the stylus from slipping out so easily.

Dude, again: got no New 3DS XL stylus. The Nintendo DS Lite stylus I've modded just takes way too small space on the stylus cavity. Counting that I didn't even plan modifying it a New 3DS XL stylus hanging plastic, because I've modified it for a NINTENDO 3DS. THAT. NON XL STYLUS TORTURING PIECE OF S@∟T

I think I'm just about to run into a dead end...

That hardmod will work in fitting your DS Lite stylus to the N3DSXL.

Another thing you can try, depending if Venezuela has any Chinese / Asian restaurants, is to use one a disposal wooden chopsticks, cut and shave it short, and add a pull string.

Are you sure chopsticks' plastic aren't THAT HARSH to the screen?

PD: I'm going to see how thick my modificated DS Lite stylus is on my New 3DS XL. Then I'll buy yet another (ugh) DS Lite stylus and see if we have some luck modifying it.

a regular 2ds stylus is very close to a perfect fit for old3dsXL. The top sticks out about 1/4 cm.

The Nintendo DS Lite is a perfect thick spot. I think I should get a new Nintendo DS Lite stylus ASAP.

PD: I said "New Nintendo 3DS XL". Not "Old Nintendo 3DS XL".

The links @Ryccardo and I shared are for the New Nintendo 3DS XL. @zoogie's idea of using Old 2DS stylus pen is in case you can't import that exact pen, but buy locally and substitute it with something similar enough if you're willing to modify it.

The chopsticks idea is safe with the screen if you don't sharpen the tip. Despite the 'chop' in the name, they're perfectly safe to use. People eat with those things sticking in their mouths (lol). The ones you want are made of bamboo wood, has a round profile, not too thick, can be saw or cut, and super glued to a string with a finger loop.

Btw, the duct tape mod isn't impossible to pull off. Just really frickin' hard to cut the right piece and lay it in the groove. :'|

I DON'T care about the duct tape modification. I just care about modifying or getting a stylus almost the same as New 3DS XL.

I think I can get some chopsticks from a Chinese restaurant we got to, but my father doesn't like the idea. Heh.
