There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding TX SX Os in this thread I'll be explaining and killing most of the myths going around as to avoid SHIT POST burning my eyes off every day.
1.SX OS is free
This is true and some people seem to not know this please read the change log on the tx site. They are letting users download the files off there site and run there payload but it won't have backup loader enables so only homebrew apps can be used.
2.SX OS PRO without dongle
This is exactly the same thing as the free version but requires you to purchase a activation code that's imputed into the free version in order to activate the backup loader feature that's disabled by default in the free version.
3.backup loader compatibility
The newest update now runs type 2 game carts as well as type 1 game carts.
4.homebrew compatibility
Some homebrew had issue/crashes with the newest update this seems to have been fixed for most apps/emulators I have tested.
5.Brick code in the SX OS
There is claim to one in existence by a dev in the scene.
the picture from a discord has been proven to be fake and just a impostor acting as part of tx when he's not.
6.SX OS trimmered game file
Backup game files that are trimmered run as normal and are a great way to save space on memory usage.
7.Updating backups on SX
There currently no 100% safe way to do so. The current method that seem to be used is to run the game in SX OS then boot into OFW as if the game wasn't inserted in the console and manually download it.
8.SX PRO with Dongle
Still requires you to activate it with purchased code just the same as the SX OS payload only option IT DOES NOT COME PRE ACTIVATED.
9.SX OS AuTo RCM
This has the same function as the open source payloads and it's same drawbacks your forced to boot with the dongle or a device every cold boot and if left in RCM MODE it will drain your battery as it doesn't charge the console even if plugged into the charger. Many users have had to find alternate way to charge there battery after there console has run out of Juice. NEVER LEAVE YOUR CONSOLE IN RCM MODE
10.Eshop Backups
There seem to be some that are running some that are not depending who you ask as to my knowledge there none I've encountered that are run due to a file difference in how there coded.
These are based on my information gathered from many threads with the intent to compress everything in one place.
Feel free to correct me with proof of your claims to update this thread to be as accurate as possible.
