HENkaku for 3.68 to release on July 1

The long awaited exploit for the PS Vita has finally been given a release date. When we first received news of the exploit, we were told it would likely release in 1-2 years, but luckily Vita hacker TheFloW mangaed to find a second exploit for 3.68 and get us an earlier release. The exploit will work on firmware versions 3.65 to 3.68 you do not need an official Sony memory card or an internet connection to use it. If you are on 3.65, you will be able to install HENkaku Ensō, but unluckily those on 3.67 and above won't be able to. I've included a guide for updating to stock 3.65 from 3.61/3.63.

(except for about super robot wars X english, I think, maybe Saga 3, the official vita is a paper weight, I'm sure i'm not the only one with an official vita in addition a hack, for the pstv, its been treated very badly in the market, good to see some redemption for a great console) (3.65 was drop dead henkaku you can't reinstall the firmware, so no big deal, but imagine installing over that, a super big risk, this release solves everything!) (its not to bad to have to leave the vita in standby sometimes, but, just have to see how it goes, wouldn't want to have to pull out a laptop on a public bus just to get things started for a few hours of trolling or a train maybe) (like Pee Wee Herman, people threw their vhs tapes of his children's videos out in the streets literally when he was found guilty, but, the korean conflict is in the green now, so, settled the war with some tariffs, tieing loose ends in consumer confidence (because the engine was to dominate (peace engine antichristdom)

No. The Maidump team hasn't updated their dumper in nearly 2 years now, and there's 0 indication that they'll come back since NoNpDRM released (which is a superior dumper, nothing gets decrypted and they're mostly clean dumps).

But if the maidump dumps are so bad, why are not they made with NoNpDrm? Would it not be possible to make a dump without mistakes from the Stardew Valley (for example) with NoNpDrm? Thank you!

No. The reason Maidump dumps work on lower firmwares is because they're decrypted files, so they don't require a specific firmware's encryption keys to be played because they're already in a decrypted format. This is also why they're so bad, the decryption method used isn't "well made", and it's not 100% complete, so decrypted games have the various issues mentioned.

NoNpDRM, on the other hand, doesn't decrypt games, it leaves them intact and fully encrypted. Instead, NoNpDRM essentially spoofs the license file that is used to verify the game as "owned" by XYZ user, so you can play the game as if you actually owned it. Because it doesn't decrypt the game's files like Maidump does, games that were encrypted with a higher firmware are going to require that higher firmware's keys so it can decrypt and run the game like normal. Since we don't have access to those keys on lower firmwares, you can't play those games.

So with the future Henkaku 3.68, can we expect those NoNpDrm dumps of higher games in versions like 3.65?
Yes, once 3.68 releases people will start dumping 3.67+ games. You just won't be able to use them on anything other than the latest firmware they require.

That's so sweet. So quick question, aside from the coldboot can Henkaku do exactly what Henkaku Eñso does?
