Hey fellas,

I wanted to sell my switch since my GF updated to 5.0.2.
Is there a way to backup my saves using some homebrew magic? Also will it work to restore them then to a lower firmware?

I personally don't think being on 5.0.2 is that bad but you can use the Hekate payload to get the Homebrew menu and use Checkpoint to backup your saves.

Also I`ve sold mine for 240eu, and for 299€ (at MediaMarkt) you will get a brand new one with a controller and MK8 :)

Thank you, will try that out!

Oh and also: My Switch has a 256GB Samsung Evo Plus. I remember when I put that in my switch it made a firmware update. Will it affect it aswell? And/or is there a trick to avoid the switch doing a FW using that

If you can enter RCM the hekate payload works on 5.0 to get into homebrew menu. Use checkpoint to backup your saves

If it's updated to 5.0.2 then you probably already have the exFAT update so it should be fine to use. If for some reason I'm wrong, you can format your sd on your computer to FAT32 to avoid the update. Also if you're going to get a brand new Switch it will likely come with 4.1.0 but I'm not sure if the MK8 bundle is different.

Nono, it`s not an MK8 bundle. It`s a "separated" bundle.
Switch + MK8 (retail) + some fake pro controller. So I can - theoretically - pick one from their stock and then look. Is there an easy way how to determinate the Version form their SN?

This thread seems to have information about that:

Also to answer your other question in the OP, it is not possible to downgrade to a lower firmware.

just fyi. I purchsed that bundle last week from "Saturn" (belongs to the same conglomerate) and it came with 3.0.1
