Hey guys :)

So, I've been able to load the hbmenu on 5.0.2 via hekate, but it says that there wouldn't be any Homebrews on my SD card. Could it be that the hbmenu has problems with exFAT or is the problem anywhere else?

Thanks for helping me out! :)

Make sure the homebrew apps on your sd are inside of a folder called "switch" all lowercase

FWIW I have the same issue on 4.1.0 using a 128gb ExFAT sd card. The Switch can read the card because it knows where the hbmenu nro is when launching it so I think the issue is with hbmenu.

I'm assuming the hbmenu has an issue wither read 128 gb cards, ExFAT, or a combination of the two. I'm going to reformat to FAT32 later today.

Check the windows "archive bit" on your switch folder and all files inside it.

In windows untick "Folder/File is ready for archiving"
In Linux/Mac OSX use mtools' "mattrib - a filename".

I have the same problem with the homebrew launcher 2.0 on Switch firmware 5.0.2
Once into the HB app it says to put files in the folder "switch". The SD (sandisk) card is 200GB exFAT in this case.

On my 3.0.0 Switch, with a 32GB FAT32 SD (samsung) it shows and opens the files with no issue.

I don't remember: can I use two different SD cards with one Switch? I would like to test the 32GB card on the 5.0.2 Switch.
Thanks for the help!

UPDATE:
Switch 5.0.2, 200GB SD card. I deleted the folder and created a new one on Windows directly onto the SD card. I previously did in macOS as it's my primary OS.
The copied the content back.
Now the HBmenu sees the folder and the files inside it.
At the moment it doesn't see the folders inside the switch/ folder which where made on macOS and then copied on SD card

Just registered my account to help on this.

If you're experiencing troubles reading contents from hbmenu and you copied the sd contents from a Mac, you have to remove the "archive" bit on the files. That can be done with mtools (mattrib is the command) but setting up the mtools is not easy.

The workaround is using the command:

sudo chflags -R arch /Volume/[SD_card_volume_name]/[FOLDER]

You will be asked for the super user password.
It worked for me with hbmenu 2.0, CFW SXOS 1.4.

I hope it helps.

EDIT: changed the path for the specific folder you want to fix

You actually don't want to do this on the Nintendo folder, it might make any games installed on your microSD completely unrunnable.
All the other folders are ok to do this on though, especially switch for the homebrews.

Yup, a victim here (now I have to reinstall 80 GB of games), if you want to fix the Homebrew Apps problem, the command that you should execute is:

sudo chflags -R arch /Volume/[SD_card_volume_name]/switch

And your Nintendo folder and games will be fine

Sorry guys, I used a microSD just for homebrew, and I didn't check what happened with games.
