@KMFDManic I was playing the game Shove It (genesis rom) on SNES classic last night (USB-HOST) and after an hour of playing I did the SELECT+DOWN to go into the menu to save my game but I got a C8. This is the 2nd time that's happened with this game and it's always after playing for about an hour. If I play for 5-15 minutes and SELECT+DOWN to the menu it doesn't C8.

I'm using 30 games per folder and on ALL of your latest cores, and running on HakchiCE (latest version)

Any ideas what causes this? I saw on reddit this was posted and you indicated to quit RA using the RA exit feature. I'm just trying to figure out if I did something wrong with my
setup and what would cause this. I tried loading other Genesis games briefly to exit and they work but I haven't played them for an hour or so like Shove It.

I would still recommend using the RetroArch Exit method, as it is nearly 100 percent reliable. What happened with your shortcut exiting is it didn't get to properly make an sram in time, before closing RetroArch, and C8 means no longer found. It is always safer to do the Exit RetroArch route, as it will give appropriate closure to RetroArch and allow a Suspend State/Sram Save to be made:)

My snes classic is already modded with hakchi2 ce,but i thought it was eay with that easyinstaller to use the usb thingy, but it doesn't work here for whatever reason.
I have a real snes with sd2snes,so i don't really care kmfdmanic, but thx for your core and hard work.

Just let me know if you have any other issues:)

Thanks for the reply! I will definitely try exiting the way you suggested. I'm curious if it's just this game, I'll know more the more I play. It could be that certain games take longer to create that save, I've just never had this issue before and have been using the same hardware.

I look forward to more of your MAME2003 performance tweaks, and trying NBA Live 95 or 96 with some of your suggestions (frameskip to 5, etc).

Hello @KMFDManic, thanks for your help. I'm still struggling with the c64 core, is there a way now to autoload .d81 disks without changing the drive type from 1541?

Seems @ reddit 1 person also have this same problem as me,strange thing is i can download-go to webpages ect...,but the program says not connected to internet,so problem in the program maybe, here my connection is perfekt.
Lucky me i have a big collection off all the hardware and games, but its nice to have all on 1 mini snes or nes.
Seems there is not much i can do about it,and manually do this,i must first find a guide for it.

I ordered this adapter:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FGKXY9S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But the usb drive isn't recognized in either USB port. I ordered this since the right angle adapter I originally ordered broke. The device powers on and the original 21 games are present, as is the hakchi splash screen. Did I miss a step to get this particular adapter working, is my drive maybe incompatible on this adapter, or is the adapter possibly faulty?

Difficult to say. If your setup was working with your first adapter and you didn't change anything besides the adapter...

After further testing of the Virtual Boy core, trying to get it to display real 3D.

The issue is, even when you get both screens to show up, the screen is only doubled and does not show the two different images as it should, I was able to get a 3D effect but it didn't have any dept, it was only the shader's work doubling the screen.

For whatever reason my console always keeps the last shader used... don't know why. How would one remove the shader hmod?

Select Stock shader as I showed in the video. Which RetroArch are you using, date wise?

What is the right option to save in retroarch with snes in games who has save features.
Save the game normally and close retroarch orSavestate made by Canoo save state made by Snes mini

So my PSX stability adventure continues and after months of playing, I found out that...

I am powering my NESMINI with wrong amperes specs so when I replaced it with a new one 5V/1.0A and the one used in chromecast, it is much stable than ever. Few times I played GT2 and FF8 whole day nonstop!

Well... I still get occasional (if not rare) restarts but one thing I notice is that I think all time that happen when I'm checking retroarch settings. Looks like retroarch UI is not cpu friendly or at least not optimized/stable for nesmini and maybe raspberry.

Is there a way to revert it to old menu style by just changing something in the settings? and by not re-installing previous retroarch?

So I'm on Hakchi 2 CE and I can't get psone eboots or psp isos recognized. I'm installing each hmod separately. Am I missing some obvious step? I had no issue getting genesis or gba running so I don't know what went wrong here.

Ok, I didn’t read all posts, so I m gonna ask a question. Why is mini NES randomly shutting down?

Please read my post above but like I said, check your power supply specs must be 5V/1.0A. Anything more or less amperes will cause instability. Probably :)

Let us know.

I figured out psx but I'm now getting an error with PSP games. Retroarch loads but then it goes back to the main menu. I'm changing "iso" to "ppsspp" in the command line per a guide I could find on command lines but I can't find a specific set of instructions for hakchi CE

I started with step 8 here

I had the same problem with on my SD modded console, I couldn't play too long and quit a game without my console freezing and in Retroarch XMB menu. Applying hotfix solved everything though!

Interesting, where is the hotfix you are talking about?
