I wish I was far enough along in my Japanese studies to help with translation duties but by the time I'm finished- or far enough along to be of any use- I'm afraid this will be finished. :/ Ah well; erstwhile, thanks for the excellent work you're all doing; I look forward to its completion 
i don't think it's ready yet, but we already getting official english release soon so...
The fan translation is coming along nicely, but the devs working behind it haven't updated on where exactly they are in the translation. For now though, it isn't dead. For the official English translation, all we know is that a European version was just rated by the esrb, meaning that the game is done, but has no announcement/ release date as of now. If you were to expect it, I'd suggest early to mid 2018, though this could be very wrong.

maybe we will get something about it on the direct next month

Ill at least thank the devs of this project for putting so much effort and passion into this project. By what they were saying, it appears like there was major progress made in this translation and it's a shame to see that all go to waste. Good job and hopefully you can translate even more games from what you guys learned with this one.
I have to agree! Will it be released through? (Even unfinished maybe?)
I would love to compare the original translation to that of the fans!!
(In reality I believe that the fan translation is closer to the Japanese original and all in all better
)
Well, may be worth keep working on it if there is gonna some kind of censoring happen in the official version.
