In my opinion do it. Upgrade to 1.76 and enjoy a few games. You'll be unable to play online with any jailbreak from what i was told so to be baned on a homebrew ps4 seems like it wouldn't make a difference

any old phat PS4 it should come with lower fw < 4.05...but it needs to new sealed and not refurbished

Has anything about the packages been found out yet? Today at my local electronics store I saw lots of different models. All of them had HDR and PSVR logos in the upper right corner of the box.

The model numbers mostly seemed like consoles that were already confirmed >4.05. There was one CUH-2016A model, but it was the golden Slim, which also was confirmed shipping with a firmware way too high at this point.
My guess is that packages that lack those logos are from 2016 and should be on a 3.xx firmware.

Did anyone else (especially those not from Europe, since I don't know if that's a regional thing) see packages with those logos somewhere?

I can buy it in my country (Guatemala), but in Amazon is not anymore. And I want to know too if the another bundle PS4 With Uncharted, GoW3 RE and Horizon Zero Dawn what firmware has. If is possible I will buy it in febreary.

You can find a lot of these fat models here. People in my country are so poor that few can afford a PS4, and stores often don't manage to sell them.

Since I now no longer have use for the one I bought last month, I'm willing to sell it for the same price I paid for it ($360).

Congratulations but 4.05 or 5.00, 501 fully exploits are even better.

Totally sure!

They were released here in the US on November 29th 2016, just a month after 4.05, so I took the chance because although I like Uncharted I didn't want the blue.....
