Yeah I know it is that date, just don't get how it was discovered to be the proper one.
qlutoo (the same person who noted the motion requirement initially) disassembled the binary for the program and found it. It has since been backed up by the Yellows8 guy, who was the one who uncovered the fact that it's golf and got it running through non-official means.

Well guess I have to try some motions too as soon as I get home.
Any infos about the docked/undocked use for this to launch? Did @Setery remember if his Switch was docked or not when he got it running?

Ok, so a list of known circumstances:
- Requires both Joycons.
- Only needs motion gestures (1 or many?)
- No buttons necessary.
- No need to be docked, however @Setery (OP) triggered NES Golf while docked.
- Has to be triggered on the home main menu, the place to launch apps from.
- Date may not be needed, but it is suggested to set to July 11, or July 19. The former is the date when Satoru Iwata died, and the latter is when @Setery (OP) triggered NES Golf.
