Question, is there any supported DS VC for NTSC-J region for free? I know brain training was distributed for free a few years ago but not looked at the moment. Got a Japanese wii u here and not sure how I'd go about buying eshop credit so

I dunno about japan but i can buy usa eshop vouchers online from europe for usa consoles from either ebay or paypal direct. Cant your system connect to japans eshop and just stick in debit card details? I dunno just guessing but i cant see why not. With the 3ds i had to set my region on the system in settings (not a region change) to usa and enter a zip code to use a debit card once from europe and that worked but it wouldnt let me change it back.

hello, I still don't get it, what is the fw.img for? and should I have fw.img to install this haxchi?
or just download the haxchi file from 1st page extrack the file to root sd card, and install it through HBL to replace DS VC games to haxchi? just want to make sure before I doing this hehe Thanks in advance!

@FIX94
I finally got around to getting Haxchi installed. Wanted to drop by and personally thank you for the easy setup, as well as everything else that went into the research and development. So to all parties involved, Thank you!

fw.img are firmware files extracted from the console and (optionally) patched to add new features.
These fw.img can be loaded in memory by Firmware booters (like haxchi, cbhc, CFW booter, etc.) which reboots the console and force the console to loads these modified firmware instead of the original one located on the system.

These fw.img are not needed anymore with the way current custom firmware are working.
Now, the firmwares are patched in memory in real time. what could be patched in the fw.img file is now done directly from the console by replacing the functions and the values using IOSU hack.

CBHC and haxchi can still load fw.img, but it's not their primary functionnality anymore to patch the firmware. That's just an option still left to the user (emergency recovery, development, etc.)

so, to answer your question clearly : you don't need any fw.img file.
just extract haxchi package which comes with 2 folders :
haxchi on root of SD, and the installer in the /apps/wiiu/ folder.
you can edit the config.txt before installing haxchi if you want specific buttons to load different homebrew or fw.img, but by default it's loading the homebrew launcher from /apps/wiiu/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf

haxchi is not a custom firmware, it's a multi loader.
if you want a custom firmware without auto-patch at console boot, there are different options:

1)
set one of the haxchi's button to load either :
mocha (Mocha cfw can patch the firmware in realtime with different options)
or
simple signature patcher (has only signature patch and region free)
or
fw.img (there are different ones, but they are old now)

2)
install Haxchi direct (that's a replacement of haxchi which only patch the firmware, doesn't use config.txt at all)

Just made some changes to mainly haxchi itself which may be useful if you dont want to use cbhc.
-use same iosu patcher for both haxchi and cbhc to allow haxchi to benefit from it
-added new config option to haxchi, "sysmenu" which will relaunch you into the system menu with signature, region patches and everything else that cbhc patches
-small logic correction in the iosu patcher
The sample config.txt now has the sysmenu option set when holding down the "B" button.

So does this mean we can have a coldboot haxchi with all patches?

go ahead and do it so your wiiu bricks and you people finally shut the fuck up, seriously people go the fuck away this your garbage question, I am SO fucking angry by now of the constant fucking bullshit asking the same fucking question even though I explained myself in full detail in essay form already to why I do things how I do them, god

WOW! GO FUCK YOURSELF BRO!
YOU TOTALLY HAVE THE WRONG PERSON!
I POSTED 1 TIME IN THIS THREAD BEFORE THIS AND WASN'T EVEN A QUESTION LET ALONE DIRECTED TOWARD YOU!

I just asked a simple question, and you do NOT need come at me with your bullshit! I don't give a rats ass who you think you are.
We all wake up in the mornings and pull our pants up the same fucking way.
So before you decide to be EXTREMELY VULGAR AND RUDE again, just remember you are not morally superior you fuck tard!
Also by the sound of the change log is exactly what I am asking and since I am the first after your updated release to ask this question, is exactly why I am asking this question.

Nobody asked you for any of this, remember that!
My advice to you is... if you can't handle the heat then don't release anything.

Cold boot haxchi IS CBHC, so yeah, you asked a stupid question. Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer. A bit of intelligence helps.

Sorry if this has been asked before and i'm just too blind to find the answer but instead of making a mistake, i'll just go ahead and ask.
If i want to edit the config, do i have to delete haxchi from the console and do everything again or can i just install a new version over a existing one?

Considering he's the fucking releaser, you should really care who he is. And you're the one being extremely rude - plus, we should be all thanking him for actually making something so we're not all fucking stuck in the browser darkages, you thick fuck.

Also, to who FIX94 is,
