Your using old version of NTR Launcher or old stage3 launchers. Most of the state 3 launchers no longer work since Luma no longer does the bit31 patch. To get around this, either use NTR Launcher or if that doesn't work, use NTR BootStrap which does not require bit31 patch.

Hey do you have any idea how to get original R4 cards to work? I've basically tried everything you've uploaded, the furthest i've gotten is either a white screen or a black screen with "Loading..." on it

EZ Flash Vi still fails even when you do these things. I detailed it in an earlier post.

It goes to what appears to be an EZ Flash dev menu, and from there you get two white screens.

This was confirmed by PM by another EZ Flash user as well.

So I tried searching for this before posting, but it didn't bring anything up. I have the R4i RTS 3DS and I was wondering if anyone has the same card and knew which launcher worked for it. I've tried the TWL Slot 1 launcher and it flashes a white screen and then the screen goes black. WoodLauncher doesnt seem to work, and the R4CartLauncher freezes on the loading screen.

Sorry, the edit didn't save. I was dumb and forgot to check the formatting on my microSD. It was exFAT instead of FAT32 and after I formatted it, it worked perfectly. Thanks for the reply though

hi i have a r4 clone (n5) it only work with n5 kernel + wood for play all game, i try r4cartlauncher_anykernel and twl 1 but nothing i use sys 11.1 and last luma

Why are you installing v1.8?

Latest version is 1.9.4. Cyclo DS works on latest release. For a short time I was in possesion of one so I know for sure that it does.

I installed latest patched twl firm from aurora on emunand

Installed Wood r4 launcher, R4 launcher, r4i gold launcher and slot 1 launcher on emunand and sysnand. ( I have the original R4 and and R4i Gold clone I think that pops up in cartridge menu as star wars )

All launchers give me the "an error occured, please hold power button to turn off" with both cards when running from emunand.

Using rxTools 2.6 currently, is that the problem? Thought it would be fine if I installed the twl firm.

EDIT: Got it working when I used Luma. I thought I had to go through backing up emunands and transfering to Luma and what not , turns out I just had to boot it and it used the same emunand, Thanks a ton Apache. Got the old R4 working through launchers and the gold just worked through its icon, nifty af :')

I have an Original R4 card but when I insert it to the Game Card slot the blank box on the home menu for the Game Card disappears for a millisecond and then it goes back and still says there is nothing inserted into the slot. Does this mean my R4 won't work anymore? I don't have a DS anymore to test it on.

My original R4 doesn't work with anything. It worked on my friend's ds lite tho. Is it because the micro sd is 1gb?

No it's probably because it has contact issues in your 3DS. This is more of a problem for n3DS users then o3DS though. Try holding the R4 cart all the way in the slot past the click and see if it boots. if it does, then you'll need to use some paper to jam it in so that it works.

I did try holding it(o3DS btw) but to no avail.
