Hi APM, i've just update my 3ds ytd and now i root using pc to drag jk save manager into my 3ds and now im stuck at launching homebrew..i don't know how to get it work and i really wish you could help me. could you brief me how it work?

I'm still struggling with editing a palico. I've used all legitimate actions, but they keep un-equipping themselves when i go on a hunt. Can someone give me an exact format i should use? I've looked at the other posts about this, and have had no such luck.

This is probably a long shot but does anyone have an equipment id list? Im trying to find the ID for Hyabusa's feather but its not working out lol.

You know I checked that earlier and couldn't find it. But it was there . I just scrolled to the bottom and worked my way back. Thanks APM

Once you download the JK Save Manager, you drag those contents to the root of your 3DS SD card, then you boot up the Homebrew via your 3DS and the save manager should be there.

thanks for this. two more question. download in this in PC then copy paste in SD card (root)? do you have step by step procedure or youtube? haha! not familiar with Homebrew.

No. You just use the .exe to edit the save you extract

Sorry false alarm, I thought name changing my player's name changed the palico's name too, but it was only on the load save screen.
Also, I noticed that the Palico has a specific offset for making them active (Prowler, Palico 1 and Palico 2). Maybe you can set them to inactive so when it's exported/imported to someone's save it won't conflict with their save file, since there might already be active palicos in their save.

copy boss. so i need to download the JK Save Manager to my PC then copy paste this to the root of SD card. then boot the Homebrew and choose the JK Save Manager, finally i can have my extracted file.

one thing i found i thought i should note: when changing a palico's lv it will revert back to whatever level the exp it has is when you lv it up by 1. example: a lv 1 palicoset to lv 50 thru the editor with the exp still at 0 will result in the palico showing as lv 50 but once that exp counter hit's a lv up, it will revert back to what lv it is supposed to be. in this case lv 2 or so depending on how much exp the palico got from a quest,training,intense training.(note: i do not know what would happen if the exp the palico has/is at 999999+ it might make it th max level or the game might crash..gonna test it in a sec.)

So if you change the XP, will it jump to the proper level when you earn XP in game?
And what XP is needed for a Palico to hit 50?

that is the thing i do not know what is the exact exp amount needed to get the palico to get to 50 instantly. i do know tht lv 1 palicos start with 20 exp. so 20 is the lv 1 mark.also supposedly there are quests that raise your palico's level caps to lv 25,30,then 50 in mhgen.but i do not see why tere would be quests to do that when a palico could easily reach lv 50 by the ex/grind thing.

ok just tested and yes setting the exp to 9999999 will max out the palico's lv but to the current max cap you can go up to meaning you need to do the 3 level cap quests to automatically reach the next max level cap until you hit 50. (after hr 7 and some other junk,i do not know what since i am still hr 2.)

i also tested the whole skills limits.there is a tiny limit but you can replace some skills that are changeable like negate wind or confusion with other skills that class can learn for rng or from other palicos. the same goes for the equipment skills too but the limit seems to be what they can learn. (this includes event skills as they can stack and can be on one palico. just DO NOT REMOVE THE PALICO'S MAIN ABILITIES/SKILLS/EQUIPMENT THE CLASS THE TARGET PALICO IS GUARANTEED TO HAVE OR ELSE IT WILL CRASH/REMOVE THE PALICO.)

that's why you set the exp to 999999 and let it cap the level after the first quest you send it on

i already figured it out plus i figured out some workarounds to the palico equipment moves and skills restrictions.now i have lv 50 palicos (after i beat the requirements) with omniresistance,triforce,zombie,supershroom,and a few other skills learned while each now knows all the horns (not the true type ones as they are set.) and a few other really good skills.

Here's a fun glitch: Adding in Insect Glaives will leave you with a (None) type kinsect. The game crashes if you try to send out the blank kinsect.
