So, I was thinking if could be possible to make custom CIA's with SNES standalone games on it. I saw on Cellensere's youtube account that he made an emulator of PSX (or use someone idk/idc) that is progammed to boot onto a specific iso, and launch. With a custom banner that is really a Standalone game. Couldn't that be possible? Like, making a Blargsnes version that run into a specific rom with a custom banner.

Would be really cool to see Mother 2 standalone game on 3DS, somthing like VC, I guess.

How about RetroArch SNES Emulator?
Much better than BlargSNES

You can modify the SourceCode to add direct boot.
You should be able to modify the source so it loads the ROM from romfs instead from SD.
Like Cellenseres did.

That's very possible actually. Not sure if anyone will have any interest in doing that, but really all you need is a .cia build of an emulator altered to remove all menus and autoboot into a ROM, custom banners for CIAs are easy to make.

thats verry much true for N3DS's O3DS users the best they have performance wise is BlargSnes.

The SNES is notoriously difficult to emulate on the 3DS. It's the reason you don't see Nintendo selling SNES VC in the eShop. From what I've heard, the best you can do is a SNES emulator on the N3DS.
That's part of what he was talking about. A modified emulator to autoboot a game.. With its own custom banner and the like.

If I would able or skilled enough, I've done it already, but im just a regular guy. Anyway tho, if it's posible, i'll just leave there the idea. It may be great tho, a bunch of SNES games would be lovely to play on 3DS.

Just grab BlargSNES source and modify it to autoboot a specified rom then packs it into CIA with custom banner made with bannertool.

I'd like to know how this would be done. Is it something that anyone could do, or do you need some sort of knowledge with this sort of thing? I really only want BlargSnes for one game, which is Super Mario World. Doing this to BlargSnes would be perfect for me.

Well if you have the ability to install CIA files, you might as well just play Mario Advance 2. imo it's better than the SNES version.

Rom hacks don't appeal to me, but Super Mario Advance 2 has worse graphics and a lower resolution than Super Mario World for the Snes?
To account for the lack of a backlight, they made the graphics brighter, which makes everything look a little faded. It's not really a problem. As for the resolution, it's not unplayably small, but a it does get a little crowded occasionally. I've played it to 100% completion on cartridge recently, so it's a fully playable remake.

If someone does this, I'd love at least a blargsnes auto boot version for the Super Zero Mission hack, it plays that game perfectly and it's a great hack. Maybe this for the icon?

It's not really something I need and wouldn't press anyone to waste time on it but if someone does on their own take the time and make it, I was only making the suggestion :) If it encouraged people to play that hack more, that would be the best part, lol.
