I put 1.06 in there to keep the original file size down, the 1.07 firmware with the skin-cycle option is 8 meg zipped up! It's easy enough to download and install from my blog.

One other suggestion I had, would be to be able to see whats on your card already, almost like an FTP program would do.

That's going to be in the next version, right now I'm making it skinnable and then I'm going to put MicroSD card browsing in there. It'll probably take a week or so but the skin templates should be up in a couple of days.

Well another firmware release means another change to the way my program works! So here is V1.02!

The program now supports other languages. It's very basic at the moment, you can't choose between languages on the fly. You have to install a language pack and then reload the program.

At the moment there's only English available, but some great people have offered to translate the stuff for me so once these start coming back I'll put them up for download.

Here is the language.ini file. It's pretty straight-forward.

http://www.dpgdownloads.com/trolleyguy/language.zip

Changes
----------
- Allows basic browsing and deletion of files from MicroSD card.
- Added basic support for different languages. Reads data from language.ini file in R4/M3S Commander folder.
- Added support for v1.08 firmware (R4DS) multiple saves.
- Now automatically selects first item in lists in tabs.
- Now knows where the program has started from! No more selecting the folder! Yay!
- Some other bug fixes and text relocations.

I was wondering if it'd be possible to make the R4 Commander backup any .BAK save files, as this is a new feature in the 1.08 R4 Firmware. I would just find it much more easier to click a button and have it copy those files over to my hard-drive.

Thanks.

That's one of the additions in version 1.02 that I put up on the blog earlier. It copies the .BAK back to the card along with the .SAV as well.

Ah, I didn't notice it... despite it being only a post or two above my request. You work extremely quick!

Hey, I just got your program version 1.03. This is the full file one thats about 6MB zipped. I unzipped, then ran it and got an I/O error 6. Should I be concerned? Thanks. I do not have any of the previous versions either. In the readme, it says upon first load that it would ask me for location of the R4.Commander.EXE file, but it never did.

I'm using Windows XP SP2.

Damn, a bug! I altered it in this version so it didn't ask for the exe path and forgot to change the readme. I'll fix this now.

EDIT: Have fixed and uploaded the fixed version to the blog. If you don't want to redownload just for this fix the bug was caused by having no roms in the file list when the program is first loaded up.

Hey, thanks for the quick update. Curious is their a way to select more then one file in the backup section? I can only seem to select one file at a time to be added to the list.

Also does any of the applications in your pack need to be patched with DLDI or is it already patched by you? I noticed that with ComicBook DS, their is something called Application Data Browser. What is that for? Is it where I select the .cbds files? If so, does that mean I need to convert using pictods.exe first? Thanks

No probs for the quick update! Sorry for the bug!

It's set to only add one at a time to the list. If I have it set to multi-select when you click to add them all to the list it'll have to unpack each archive (if they're archived) again to get the header information to put in the list and really slow it down.

Yep, I prepatch everything for the packs. Basically what I do is install it to my card, test it's working and then zip up that directory for the pack.

The Application Data Browser shows any files in the current directory with an extension that's suitable for the application. It does the same for emulators (SNemulDS shows *.smc and *.bin, picoDrive shows *.smd and *.bin etc.). When you choose install this data it copies the file to the correct directory for whatever app you've chosen.

Yeah sorry, you'll have to either download the comics or convert some yourself. This is a good place to grab some comics from (I've got all the Heroes comics!)

I see, thanks for the info. Do you know what program I'm suppose to use to convert G6 Lite saves to R4? The save converter on R4 site doesn't seem to have an option for the G6 Lite. Great job with the app btw. Saves a lot of time

Firstly, excellent software!

I have linked this on the stickied R4 FAQ in this forum under "usage"

Also If you need a mirror for file hosting then let me know!

Anyways, just a few suggestions:
- Integrate a trimmer tool into the programme
- Integrate an unzipper
- Integrate a save file convertor

Most of the coding methods for the above list is easily found on the net

just to save dave some time, there already is an unzipper and a trimmer! its just automatic.

The one on the R4 website CAN convert G6 saves. you just need to change "Files of type:" to "All files"
but yeah an integrated converter would be nice.

Yeah, I found out about that after doing a search. I also found out that it might be possible to just rename the G6 lite save extensions to .sav and it might work. I can't try it yet though as I don't have my DS Lite with me.
