Hacking R4 Commander

this is stupid but what kind of program is this? Is it suppose to be an alternative for moonshell? Oh and I just got my R4 today so I'm not too sure about all this homebrew and tech stuff

It's a rom, homebrew, skin and firmware manager for the R4. Basically you can build up a game, homebrew and firmware library by dropping them into it and then build a list of the stuff (MP3, OGG and DPG as well) you want to add to the card by using lists or drag and drop. Then when you're happy with the list you can tell the program to copy it to the card.

You can add skins to the card by browsing folders with either archives or the bmp files for skins.

oh I see so it's basically a manager-a "windows explorer" so to speak albeit with features

not to insult you for developing this but what other programs are comparable to this?

Yep that's it to a T. The only other one I know that's similar for the PC is Rominator which most people prefer. Rominator also works for Linux and Mac.

There's also CocoDS if you've got a Mac.
