Too many fanboys buying consoles.
Make the games come already so I can also buy one too.
I expect the PS4 to be a great system that I will buy in the future, but the library is still not there.

In same month, Microsoft decides to keep their sales data secret so there's nothing to compare to anymore.
Microsoft does release combined shipments. It's a bit different, but the range can be guessed quite well with a margin 16 million +-1 million. Hopefully they release a comment when the 20mil limit is passed so we can see how accurate the guess was.

Poor Wii U.

But not poor Nintendo. Nintendo still holding with profits to continue on. Even in Wii U's pathetic situation, it's making them money (not a whole lot), and there's 3DS, Amiibo, etc.

We need to see what's up Nintendo's sleeve regarding this NX they have in development. All it really needs is 3rd-party support, and they'll be fine.

Perhaps PS4 will be Sony's third burro, joining the ranks of thier first two machines, and Wii.

I would want a PS4 if (and only if) they announce they're making MediEvil 3, but still couldn't justify a $300 machine for one game.

Whaaa......????

Look at this link...

I looked over the Xbox One exclusives and it's like feast and famine as far as exclusives are concerned.

I don't understand your comment, either you are too picky when it comes to the games you like, or are unwilling to go with the system with the larger install base and better game lineup (arguably) for what you said to begin with....

"Too many fanboys buying consoles."

Which honestly doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me. People chose what they thought was the best system (and from a hardware perspective it IS the best of the three).

I would want a PS4 if (and only if) they announce they're making MediEvil 3, but still couldn't justify a $300 machine for one game.

I wouldn't count on it as Studio Cambridge (the developers) no longer exist as they were merged in with Guerrilla games during the PS3 era and now support the Killzone franchise. Your best bet is to play the MediEvil Resurrection remake on PSP and be happy it exists.

If I could play PS Vita on PS4, I'd buy one. But since I can't, I will hold off on buying one. Also, I have no money.

PSTV is like $30 and if modded plays virtually all PS Vita games, so what's the excuse now...oh right money. :wtf:;

I will explain this.
I don't see a real advantage on jumping from a gaming PC to a PS4 today, and that is related to software.
Also I don't see much advantage on jumping from PS3/X360 to PS4, the old gen has good variety of great games.
The games are still not there for the next-gen consoles, look at your own list, how many interesting games are in there that you can't play on a PS3 or PC?
Luckily there are many early adopters, that I call fanboys but I could also call them people with hope and money.
I believe the PS4 will be a great console, and the install base will justify the development of NEW interesting games and not only recycled ideas and remakes with improved graphics.

PS: I don't see why you compare it to the Xbone, the whole next gen is just meh, even if the PS4 is the one with the best prognosis.
I am willing to buy a PS4, but based on the library I believe it STILL isn't the right time, it will just collect dust until the remarkable exclusives that are interesting for me come by.

Counterpoint: I'm not spending fucking $1200 on a gaming PC when I can casually sit in my living room and play a PS4 for $400.

Like I enjoy video games, actually I rarely play them now since other hobbies and interests have come up, but I do enjoy playing them. I'll buy a console per generation and be happy with it. The PS4 has plenty of good games, both original and multiplatform, and for someone who just wants to pop a game in and play, it's the best option on the market right now. Original titles are great, multiplatforms are great, the whole "Just buy a gaming PC!" argument is pretty stupid when a good gaming PC costs upwards of three times as much. Don't feed me that line of bullshit that "You can get a gaming PC for $400" because you know goddamn well it'll be a piece of shit that'll become outdated within a year or two while the PS4 is looking to have support for the several years to come.

There's a good amount of exclusives now and even better ones to come and you get multiplatforms. A good game is a good game, regardless of platform, and as stated, I'm not spending over a grand on a gaming console.
