Everything works on it but when playing a song it seems to work a lot more slowly. Great app though, now if someone can write a good application for playing video files xvid etc...

Great to see significant progress. But I'm still a bit uncertain of its purpose.
Don't get me wrong. Lick, or anybody for that matter, is free to make any kind of homebrew for the DS. It's just that it seems a bit unnecessary.
I'll try this out. Hopefully this will soon fully support (or already does..) the ABXY/D-pad buttons.

I'm surprised he hasn't heard from Apple's legal team. Or maybe he has...
well really the program is hardly likely to be a problem to apple. As far as i know only the interface resembles ipod.
Maybe I am hurting some people's feelings by saying this, but I really like this program A LOT better than Moonshell !!
Perhaps Moonshell has more functionality, but as far as usability is concerned: Lick's Media Player is far far better!!!

I am sur they would take exception to someone "ripping off" their more sucessful products as well.
@phoood (friendly) competition for this sort of thing is always good in my opinion.

Choice is good! I personally find Moonshell pretty unwieldy, and DSOrganize's MP3 playback crashes way too often, so this is a welcome addition to the world of homebrew!
I had to patch it with the R4 DLDI file for it to pick up where the MP3 files are.
This is great!
Better performence while playing audio should be the most important improvement from here on, but it would be amazing if, in the future, it could have more features and a more intrigueing inteface. While of course the original thought was to ripoff the iPod, you could create something more of a iPodesque nature than rather just ripping off the iPod's design. Also, if the player could enlist the mp3s like iTunes/iPod that would make it great, so you could browse albums by artist or year or whatever

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other. -
