Did you edit the PWPs via hex editing or the editor, and was there somebody there before you injected? You could have done something to the best friends list if you were hex editing.
I think you've added an extra byte instead of rewrite it, so it's all messed up
It was through the normal editor. And no one was at my town. I edited it about 10 times until I got the town I liked but that's when it crashed and had the weird best friends thing. But thanks for the help

I meant "somebody there" as in "someone in the friends list". I should have clarified that better.
No one was there from my friends list before I did anything that day
Okay, so you're file is not corrupted, so I don't know why your problem happened and how... you can inject back the file I gave you in PM few days ago, it will solve the problem

It's been ~1-2 months with no time traveling and there hasn't been mail since I edited my town name.

Have you changed your town ID ? It's 2 bytes just before the town name bytes and if I recall correctly when you change it you have some problems with the letters... If i'm wrong then I don't know, can't help you.
I used the map editor and now this blue box/line appears on the s ide of my town

Hey, I'm having a few problems with the map editor program?
Every time i try to open it it just crashes on start up, windows 10. I have tried administration mode and compatibility changing to Windows XP and 7 but it is not working.
Anyone have any fixes?

Can't downgrade because i don't have the old key or disc and i tried sandboxie and it still didn't work

Please check in there, there are important offset addresses for your ACNL RAM backups.
There is, for example an offset: Player 1 _ Name | 0x55D7
"55D7" is the offset you need!
1.Copy the offset in your clipboard or remeber
2.Download & Open your hex editor (i use "HxD")
2a.Open your RAM Backup
3.Go to the offset you want to go to (if you have HxD -> ctrl + g -> paste the offset adress)
4.Use the unicode characters (which are on thespreadsheet page)
4a.Or u write in your Playercard or Bulletin Board your name you want and copy the hex in the offset adress.
simple but u can only use 8 characters!!5.Save it and load it! ;P

I see offen in Hacked Dreamtowns special unicodes. I dont know how it works or where i find these...
knows someone?
You could use the leaftools medal maxer if you don't want to deal with ram editing
