They're not obligated to do anything, but you cannot deny the fact that it was shady business to post an advertisement video of the Gateway working on the New 3DS and then lead their customers on in a series of deceptive text posts claiming that the next release would include N3DS support.

Link to the video? The only thing I see on their site about N3DS is this: "Support for New 3DS is still a work in progress, please be patient!" And their sidebar and everywhere else doesn't mention support for it. To me that says, they are working on support with no estimated time of release and could be potentially released in 3 years. Not "it's right around the corner so be sure to buy a N3DS right now". Perhaps I'm mistaken, but isn't the main website the only place you should rely on public and specific info being released? The site doesn't seem to say anything about "next update". Just that support is coming soon.

Either way, I don't see how that's a demand saying to go buy a N3DS.

I don't see how that's misleading at all. They showed a tech demo of their current state. That doesn't mean it's ready for release. By that logic, you gotta expect a game shown off at e3 to be launched the next week, simply because you saw it functioning.

How dense are you? Seriously? Right in front of you is a video of them advertising the fact that it works on the new console. It's blatant advertising. Of course people were going to stock up on consoles now while the firmware was compatible.

You mentioned earlier that you can't see anywhere on the site mentioning N3DS support, yet there it is, and you're still denying it. They themselves have said in emails that the N3DS support is coming "soon". "Soon" is not two months. They wanted to capitalise on Christmas, and in an effort to sell more carts, they announced a product far before it was ready, and knowingly deceived people.

At this point, everything you have said has been nothing but damage control for yourself. Your posts are not worth of the time of anybody on this forum, nor the bandwidth to serve them.

I am very happy with my NN3DS!
You want to know why?

My SKY3DS works perfectly with all games, latest f/w, eshop access, no modding, no emunand/sysnand bricking, and when I pull the SkY3DS out of my NN3DS and put it in my old XL, the card works with ALL REGIONS. And, im not waiting. There is no......."SOON." lulz

Please tell me you're joking. You're quoting "N3DS support still a work in progress" which comes from the post that everybody is mad about. Before this post, everybody was expecting a 9.X release for ALL 3DS/2DS models, as stated several months previously.

Edit: Here's the post that says everything will be supported back in November:

We recently reached a major milestone and now we are happy to announce that we are in the process of finalizing our support for 3DS systems running System Firmware 9.0.0-20 / 9.1.0-20J / 9.2.0-20 natively!

Yes, this includes 2DS and New 3DS! Yes, you heard us right! If you have a 3DS, or a 2DS or a New 3DS system that is running System Firmware 9.0.0-20, 9.1.0-20J or 9.2.0-20 then you WILL be able to use it with Gateway 3DS!

No. They are showing that they've gotten it working on a N3DS. That says nothing about whether they'll release it or not. Or even if it works on ALL of them, just some, maybe it only works on a certain hard-modded one. The point is that they just showed a demo. They didn't say "out now' or "out next weekend". They didn't say "this is definitely going to be released." They said "gateway 3DS working on a new 3DS system". I don't see why people assume that if they see something, that means it must be out within a week/month. If you see google's self-driving car, do you expect it to come out within the next 2 months? No. Just because it's working doesn't mean it's ready for release.

I don't see how what I'm saying is stupid. It's common sense. I've seen so many products shown off and then scrapped and never released. I don't see why a flashcard update is any exception. I'm pretty sure all of the flashcards had "update coming soon" on their page when they died. As far as Sky3DS goes, good for you. I don't own either card. I'm just tired of people being a bunch of babies complaining about something that was never promised to be released right now. It could easily be coming in April. All they've stated is that it's a work in progress.

I don't see how that's a problem. No point in buying something if it doesn't have a feature you want yet.

This sounds like fair confirmation that it's going to be released to me.

Sure, their updates also suggest it's going to be released. Games and other products are delayed quite often. Go look at Smash bros. Summer->September->October->November (wii u).

I'm not saying you're not going to get N3DS support. I just think it's stupid to buy a console without a firmware being out. Who knows if the company gets shut down, or they suddenly disappear? Do you know your future? I sure don't know mine.

Stranger things have happened. Just because you saw a video does not mean that a firmware will be out within the next month or two (which it wasn't). For me, it would be a bad investment. I would only buy one if and when the support comes out. Not before, knowing that there are tons of consoles that can play Gateway right now instead.
