Well yes , normat said anything could be done by the software if they worked on it. That's the problem , I don't see the clones working themselves on new stuff XD
At least, they have made r4i deluxe support multi-rom without updating the FPGA , all right?

Normat said too that the multirom didn't need fpga at all xD...

I'm just trying to figure out where your feelings of superiority are coming from. You seem to think because you paid a measly $20 less for a card that is always months behind Gateway and still doesn't have as many features, that it somehow makes you superior to people who paid for the real thing, to me that makes you look like a very sad little man.

You seem to me like the type of person who would rather pay $20 less for a night with a blow up doll, than pay the extra $20 for a night with a real woman and then feel smug about it.

I didn't have these feelings until some people decided to start them . I wouldn't be hatin against gateway(ers?) if people hadn't started hating clones.

It has been proved that there is no brick code at all in V4.0B1.
How do you think that there is brick code in V4.0B2?
Do you have enough evidence?
The burden of proof is on whoever makes a claim. Whether or not the previous launcher has a brick code is irrelevant. Until substantial evidence to show that there is no brick code in this specific build is presented, any claim by whichever "side" is merely an assumption.

We really need someone who can say for sure if there is brick code or not. But the scales are heavily on the NO side , since this firmware is probably the old one with pasted multi - rom . You only have to look at the size of both files. I highly doubt they have copied multirom and bring the brick code at the same time. And copying the whole gateway firmware is out of the quesiton.

Whos normat? and whats an fpga update?

Normatt. AKAIO dev. Don't know what does he do now.

Just forget about it. Normat said we need for sure an fpga update for nand saves to work. Thats why now we can we ingame but it crashes when saving , because it can't save to the rom due to old fpga
What if they intercept the game commands to the card and redirects them to the SD instead?

And how is multi-rom done? I was always under the impression that it needs an FPGA update to properly choose and read the ROM.

V4.OB2 just made r4i deluxe support mutil-rom without updating the fpga and you must admit it

Normatt said that no , the multirom , contrary that what is commonly believed , it's not what made the fpga need an update , but the nand saving games. And he said those could be done by software too if put enough work into

Yay! Gonna go load up my SD card right now! I'm gonna see how "online" somehow works.

Someone said mario kart 8 online doesn't work

Finally!!!!!!! Thank the LORD!!! ...now I have a fighting chance of selling off my r4i deluxe to help pay for my gateway! :rofl2: LOOOL and what is all this talk about there being no brick code? common guys, you haven't looked through the code yourselves to verify this so never say never. If you value your 3DS I would consider waiting to see if anyone else gets bricked first (granted, might not happen:bow:). I don't see why you would take the risk anyway just for multi-rom support... and as I suspected they did not release emunand yet anyway. Only thing I am surprised of is the "online" play feature without emunand support.. I'm curious to see what this means exactly.

As if emunand is working with gateway right now too.

Ye gj go get a gateway. You know gateway has for sure brick code. This one we don't know yet but it's more than possible it doesn't.

Ya the gateway has supported emunand for a while now but no eShop atm.. they will soon release a new firmware to support 8.x which should give access to the eShop. As for the gateway I've already switched and it was the best decision I made.. fast releases, good support and features. As for the brick code, I think they've learned their lesson from the last wave of accidental gateway customer bricks so there's not much worry about from a gateway user standpoint.. it is you cloners that need to watch out for ticking time bomb brick code :gun:They've done it before.. who are you to say they wont do it again.

They won't because this time cloners haven't copied fully the firmware but are working with mt card launcher as a base. If someone really confirms this one having no brick code I prefer no brick code at all than having some puny nand games that are not good without online. And right now you can't do emunand of latest version which is the good thing of emunand. So it's the same as if it weren't there

I suggest you take advantage of the "Ignore" button for idiots around here, there are a lot of them... It saves you from starting huge never-ending flame wars because the person you're fighting against has the dumbest mindset on the planet (Speaking from my own experiences :rofl2:).

Also forgot how slow the "Fat" filesystems seems to be, even on my fastest Mini SD.

The update has been out since late march and there hasnt been one case of a brick on 2.1-2.2, while the code still exists on it, its been changed in such a way where an official gateway cart cannot trigger it, I would be more worried about the clones then gateway at this point
he also probably wants one because he doesnt feel like waiting 4 months for an update (an incomplete update at that) that the other cart had already and the feature set

Online will probably work if you rename the .3ds extension to .3dz (also needs to have a valid header) . Make sure to backup your save file.

The arguments in this thread are hilarious. Good to see this forum hasn't changed one bit.
