also I should get my datel power saves tomorrow (that was fast) how does the item codes work btw x999 recovery/regular items?
You just put the item (lets say Leftovers) in the first slot of the items, go to the Tool Items folder, and check the respective boxes to max out any item from 1-10.
And you can also choose to get, let's say 999x heart scales, by putting any random unneeded item in the first slot of your bag, and then checking the heart scales box to overwrite the original item and produce 999 heart scales
I looked into it, the cyber save editor works similar to datel's tool
First it reads the save & some other rom data, then it uploads it to a server, the server decrypts it and sends it back to you, then you can edit everything with predefined offsets or a build in hex editor. After you're done, it gets send back to the server for encryption and thats it...
Note: Cyber Save Editor is written in .NET, so full source code to it is available. (google 3DSSESetup.msi if you want to download it)
Powersaves may be a dead end, but normal users don't have the ability to do the same stuff as real hackers, until homebrew is available or people like Smea stop hiding their information it's all we have...
Hope they read my mail and make a Pokerus cheat. I have a lot of Eevee's in my saves (so they must have them by now)...

1- back up the save game
2- try to edit that file with hex editor ( i know when it restore, it will show the file is corrupted )
3- now, restore THAT save to the cart
4- now use any option available in power save , like 999 item , and then apply
i think uploading the save to Datel's servers will fix the chechsum and hashing for the save game

People have no patience these days. smea is working on it. Instead of whining, why there is no CFW yet, people should do stuff. That's why i provide a test service now. But no one seems really interested and people keep whining.
It's just stupid to write applications on a new system without beeing able to test them. It's not even possible to enjoy the appliactions after they are finished.
In addition to that, I think that it doesn't make sense that everyone does the same behind closed doors. You want people to stop whining because nothing got released yet, but everyone does the same and doesn't share the efford. That's everything else than productive.
And if something is available, everyone is whining, because there is nothing they can run. So what's better? Kepp whining and having nothing, if the CFW is available or doing stuff now and enjoying it later? Nothing is secret forever and as already said, smea is working on it. Homebrew needs time. But it seems people thinking these days homebrew is as fast ready as warez.
Anyway, that's not the topic.
Pokerus is piss easy to get. Find someone with it and you can spread it to as many of your own Pokemon as possible. Keep it in your PC box for future use (cause after a couple of days the pokemon cures itself of it.)
Your also forgetting that homebrew is only available to a very small minority of 3DS owners, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure you can only take advantage of it if you have 4.5 or below firmware. So using a blanket statement like "laziness" isnt really accurate when we cant possibly help in any way.
I seriously just hope these codes come back, I got the PowerSave the day after the codes were removed and the one-nighter I missed too :/

Ughhhhh!! Datel needs to pick up their game. Literally $30 for me plus tax and shipping! And yet they remove some of the most useful codes. There IS a way to hack the codes back somehow. It just must be really hard to find. It's just that, absolutely no one I know right now can hack them at this very moment. Like the unreleased codes. Ex. Diancie.
The codes were removed from the server and, as mentioned a trillion times on this thread, the program that runs on your PC is only an interface for the cartridge reader/writter.
There is no way to "hack" them back because they are simply out of the scope.
Do you lack reading comprehension? I explained a page back how you can get them. Even if you didn't like the idea you can acknowledge what I'm telling you. Yes it sucks you can't get it on your own but complaining wont get it back (but it certainly gets them removed, that's for sure.)

I think we need to look into the BIOS and driver data on the powersave USB wire
This is a repost of my theory but even if the powersave application is 100% useless, it's wire gives us a means of connecting a game cartridge to a PC
Also there might be some interesting info laying in the firmeware/driver data; who knows!

It's obvious that datel has the means to decrypt-modify-encrypt the saves properly. It sucks that they sold us a half-ass cheat device and then made it even crappier by taking down the codes that most of us bought it for. I had mine in time to use the floette codes but did not have a floette to modify yet. When I did want to use the codes, they are gone. I personally believe they are releasing these good codes only to entice more people into purchasing their newest POS and then removing them.

@Xdqwerty, wire is definitely more practical IMO. Hell these days you can charge a laptop over USB, can't charge a laptop wirelessly though. Wireless chargers, even "fast" ones, are only good for slowly charging devices, plus they generate a good amount of heat too+1

Power banks can be incredible depending on your needs. 1) I have a 100w capable one that can charge my laptop. 2) Same one can also power my soldering iron (though is overkill for it) 3) a BIG power bank I have with an AC outlet on it can power my desktop weed vape during a power outage
